Couples looking for a relaxing escape will find Livade ideal. The focus here is on gourmet food, local wines, and peaceful walks through the scenic landscape. Many accommodations are converted stone houses or boutique hotels that offer a personal touch and excellent culinary experiences.

For travellers who appreciate quiet and access to outdoor activities, staying in one of the hamlets just outside Livade offers even more seclusion.

For most travellers, the best time to visit Livade is during the late spring (May to early June) or early autumn (September to early October).

These shoulder seasons offer pleasant weather, with warm days and comfortable evenings, ideal for exploring the Istrian countryside without the intense heat or crowds of the peak summer months. You'll find that many of the local truffle producers and restaurants are fully operational, and the vineyards are particularly picturesque during these times.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will appreciate the quieter atmosphere during these months. It's superb for leisurely drives through the rolling hills, wine tasting at local wineries, and enjoying relaxed meals at agritourismos without feeling rushed. The scenery is particularly beautiful, with spring blossoms or autumn colours enhancing the natural beauty of the region.

Foodies, especially those interested in truffle hunting, will find early autumn to be an exceptional time. The white truffle season typically begins in late September, making it an exciting period to visit local markets and participate in organised truffle hunting excursions.
