Comprised of a living room/dining room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 1 with en-suite and 1 family bathroom. Liscannor flag flooring throughout and Liscannor flag window sills. This traditional cottage really has so much to offer! It sits on an elevated position – in a peaceful location and offers breath taking unrivalled Sea Views. Charming, traditional Irish cottage full of history and character. While this cozy retreat retains its original quirks, including the seasonal charm of older homes, it offers a unique and authentic countryside experience—perfect for those who appreciate rustic charm. A few words from the owners: Kitty's Cottage is attached to Kathy's's Cottage - The cottages were built in 1880 by two brothers. Our grandmother Kitty was one of 13 children born in the larger cottage in 1920\. Our mother Kathy was also born in the cottage in 1943\. Hence why we have named them both Kitty’s and Kathy’s cottages. It’s great to have both back in the original family. KITTY'S AND KATHY'S COTTAGE ARE ATTACHED TO EACH OTHER - PERFECT TO BE BOOKED TOGETHER FOR A FAMILY / FRIENDS VACATION! You will be able to find both cottages for rent here, but contact us in case one is not available and we can look at dates when they both can be booked together. Within a 5 minute drive of The Cliffs of Moher and Doolin with daily trips available from Doolin pier to The Aran Islands. Enjoy walks to the Cliffs via famous The Wild Atlantic Way. The Rock Shop is very close to this property and extremely popular for the locals just as much as for visitors due to its extensive array of gifts. Further on this road, enjoy a coffee at the award-winning Moher Cottage while taking in the superb sea views. Liscannor village is a beautiful quaint fishing village overlooking Liscannor Bay and the Lahinch Coastline hugely popular due to its award-winning seafood restaurants and traditional music venues. This property is approximately a 15 minute drive to Lahinch beach – one of Irelands most famous family seaside resorts – well known for its 18 hole championship golf course but also the perfect destination for lovers of a variety of water sports. Take a visit to Lahinch Leisure Centre – newly refurbished – on the promenade of Lahinch, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Lahinch Leisure Centre has a state of the art gym and 25m heated pool, learner's pool, steam room and jacuzzi, and our guests get a 20% discount on day passes! Car is essential! We found the cottage easily and it is lovely. White inside and out it has well-chosen decor, plenty of space and was clean. It has a touch of homeliness with pictures of (we assumed) Kitty and her family .. a few lovely old pieces of furniture, books, rugs and an eclectic mix of crockery - all these made for a much nicer stay. There was everything we needed to cook for ourselves and we appreciated the logs so we could have a fire on our first night. The view is exceptional. We were very comfortable and would return. Internet and TV were not as listed in vrbo and we ended up with only Wifi (no local tv -this was not a service issue as it was a hardware). The weather was absolutely lovely, but we had nowhere to sit outside, other than stone wall, which had our backs to the view. Fixing the front of the house driveway / patio (in poor shape) and adding outdoor seating would elevate this property emmensely. ##### Joseph S. To start I never received check in instructions. I received several other emails from the property management company and vrbo messages but never the welcome packet. Reached out through vrbo messenger the day before check in to let them know I hadn’t received. They snarkily replied that they would copy and paste the message they already sent me. Which still didn’t have the lockbox info on it. Luckily when we arrived a couple had rented the adjoining cottage. They were able to give us the emergency contact information for the after hours service man. He was very polite and gave me code to get in. I ended up having to call him back because we had no information on how to work heating. He was very kind to come out and assist us. He and the view were the only great things about this property. Now the spiders - we killed at minimum 35 spiders our first night. They were EVERYWHERE and if we would’ve easily been able to get another accommodation on such short notice, we would have. The spiders were in the corners and ceilings of every room, the cabinets and even the oven! They were harmless cellar spiders but it still did not ease the feeling. Cob webs were obviously everywhere as well to go along with the spiders. Aside from the spiders the showers/linens seemed to be clean. I would not stay here again.
