    Welcome to Crane's Nest! Relax in this lovely year-round, 3 bed home on a private ½ acre treed lot in Belair Forest. Enjoy lounging in the screened porch or soaking up the sun on the deck. Cozy up in the living room with wood burning stove and watch movies or play games. Short walk to a park and the lake where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. Short drive to many amazing sandy beaches in the area! Also great for ATV, snowmobiling, fishing (summer and winter), boating, biking, hiking, golf, etc!

    Open concept living area with vaulted pine ceilings and wood burning stove. Large fully-equipped, newly renovated kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and huge dining table (seats 6). WIFI is available! Living room has a TV (with Firestick), DVD player, lots of movies. Patio doors off kitchen lead to a gorgeous screened porch with forest views. Window unit air conditioner in living area. Master bedroom has a queen sized bed, desk, TV/DVD Player/Monitor, ceiling fan and closet. The second bedroom has double/single bunk bed, closet and patio doors to access the front deck. There is another 8 x 9 room off the kitchen with a Day Bed (great for daytime reading) that can be used as a 3rd bedroom by closing the barn door and converting the Day Bed from a single to a king-size bed. Large 3 piece Bathroom (shower, toilet, vanity). Enjoy the sun on the beautiful deck on front (south) side of the house. Yard has beautiful trees and flowers, a fire pit, a badminton net and a great outdoor sitting area with propane BBQ. Short walk to park and the lake where you can see beautiful sunsets. The beach is rocky and not best for swimming, however there are many sandy beaches a short drive away. Also close to all amenities such as stores, restaurants, hotel, boating, golf, fishing (summer and winter), hiking, quad trails, snowmobile trails, ski trails, bike trails.

Wonderful property

The cottage is in a wooded area with beaches a short drive away. The cottage is very comfortable to be in.We especially enjoyed the wood stove in the living room area and the deck out front. I would recommend this property to any future guests.

The weather was frightful, but our stay was delightful!

We really enjoyed our May long weekend getaway here. It didn't matter that the weather was cold and rainy because we cozied up in front of the woodstove, or sat around the spacious table playing board games. There was enough room that we didn't feel crowded being cooped up together, and the cabin had all the amenities we could have wanted. When it dried up a bit, we enjoyed the short walk to the lake and the many outdoor spaces for relaxing around the cabin.

Quiet surroundings!

The cabin provided all the amenities for a weekend retreat though many weren’t used by us. Great for family.Indoor was nice and clean however the exterior ground needed some TLC with weeding and adding flowers.Beautiful Lester Beach nearby. Playground is only a 10 mins walk.

Great cabin

My family and I just stayed here and we had a great time. The cabin was clean and cozy. It rained at one point and staying inside was no issue for our kids as the cabin provided plenty of indoor activities. Often with cabins the beds tend to be an issue but not here, the beds were very comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again.

Cute cabin in the woods

Stayed here for 2 nights with my family and 2 dogs. The place was very comfortable and roomy. We mostly just huddled around the fire and played some games. I would definitely stay here again, maybe during the summer months though

Cozy Cabin in the Woods

This was a lovely winter retreat. Lots of windows, bedrooms were simple and the main area was open and inviting. We couldn't enjoy the yard as it was still snowy, but the trees around the property helped it feel quite private.

Home away from home

The cabin is lovely and with an outdoor fire pit, south facing deck and north facing screened in porch, you can practically live outside if you want to. It was wonderful to relax and listen to the birds. The trees surrounding the property keep it private, and the neighbourhood is quite quiet.

Perfect Getaway Location

The property was everything as advertised. Very clean, fully equipped and the owner was very easy to communicate with and very cooperative. Short walk to the lake and playground. Easy and short drive to Hillside Beach, Lester Beach, Victoria Beach and Grand Beach. Bonus was full access to Netflix, Prime, Bell Live TV, etc when you just felt like chilling out. We plan to stay again.

Great Cabin and Location!

This was our 2nd time renting this cabin and we loved it! There was plenty of space for our group of 3 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. We loved the spacious mudroom, (for loading up to and from the beaches) the beautiful screen porch, and really all of the outdoor and indoor spaces and layout! It is very true to the description and photos. As with our experience the previous year, the host was very friendly and prompt to reply! I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a nice place to stay for a getaway close to all the beaches in the area.

Nice little getaway for our family!

My family really enjoyed our stay at this cabin! (3 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs) There was enough space for all of us comfortably and we made use of most of them, inside and out. The photos and description were accurate. We were pleasantly surprised by all that the surrounding area had to offer as well. Melissa was so friendly and quick to respond to any questions. I would recommend this place.

Belair Cottage

We really enjoyed our short stay, wished it could have been longer! My family was very comfortable and happy. The area is beautiful for exploring and walking around. We appreciated the air conditioning, large kitchen, and the screened in porch, It’s very large and tons of seating. We had just about everything we needed, just a few minor essentials were missing but overall it was a very nice stay. We will definitely rent again and refer the cottage to others. We had a great time, the sunroom was our fav, so peacefulThe cottage was well equipped and comfortable. Thanks for the coffee! I am scent sensitive and the fragrance of dryer sheets on the bedding & towels was not good for me. Have you tried dryer balls ( store buy) or vinegar in the rinse water. I think there are non perfumed dyer sheets as well. Over the door hooks and more towel racks would be an asset. The yard needs some TLC. I am a gardener and if the tools were there I would have planted the garden. We were able to access the gate lamps and clean out all the debris stuck to the bulb....much brighter.

Mid week August getaway

Our group of 6 (4 adults, 2 kids (teen & tween) and 2 dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crane’s Nest cottage in Belair. The cottage was clean and there was enough room for our group, we enjoyed spending time in the screened area at the back of the cottage. There’s lots of outdoor seating options. The cottage has everything there that you need, though we brought our own coffee maker (there’s a Keurig). It was rainy/cool during our stay but we still had a great time playing games, relaxing, and watching movies/shows. Wifi was great and there’s a firestick. There’s a park and view of the water/sunset within a short waling distance and Lester beach is a short drive away, as well as Albert and Grand beach. The welcome book from the owner has lots of useful details about the area. It’s generally very quiet area, lots of trees, birds and we saw a fox, deer and even a small bear in the area. All in all a very nice place, area and getaway. Owner was also easy, quick and pleasant to communicate with.
