Fine place to stay for one night, but not much there other than Mono Lake. Traffic on 395 was very loud all through the night. Those trucks must be blasting through after dark! They do provide you with earplugs. The view of Mono Lake across the highway is truly wonderful in the late afternoon/evening. The October Super Moon over the lake was spectacular. The updates to this vintage motel are fine, the shower works well, and it is very well maintained and clean. Check in was fine though I never saw a human being. It is, however, the noisiest place I have ever experienced. The noise from the cars zooming by on US 395 sounds like jet planes taking off.
