What is the best area to stay in Lazi?

While Lazi itself is a quiet residential area, the best areas to stay for visitors to the Budva Municipality are primarily within Budva town proper, particularly in or near the Old Town (Stari Grad) or along Slovenska Plaža for convenience. The Old Town of Budva is an excellent choice for couples and those who appreciate history and atmosphere. This walled city is a pedestrian-only zone with narrow, winding streets, historic churches, and charming squares. You'll find a selection of boutique hotels and guesthouses within the walls, offering easy access to the Budva Citadel, numerous restaurants, and small shops. The town walls themselves offer lovely views of the Adriatic Sea. For families or those looking for direct beach access and a wider range of facilities, the area around Slovenska Plaža is ideal. This stretch runs along Budva's main beach and offers a variety of hotels, from larger resorts to comfortable apartments. It's a bustling area with a long promenade featuring beach bars, restaurants, and activities. It's also well-connected to the Old Town by a pleasant seaside walk.

Top Lazi Hotel Reviews

One&Only Portonovi

10/10 Excellent

"This is truly one of the most stunning properties I have ever visited. It has now earned a place in my personal top five hotels in the world, among the most luxurious and exceptional properties I have experienced. Everything is simply perfect, from the breathtaking views from our room to the outstanding facilities and incredibly helpful, friendly staff. The kids’ club is amazing, making it a wonderful destination for families. And the breakfast deserves a special mention: the croissants and viennoiseries are genuinely the best in the world! Every detail makes this stay unforgettable. We have absolutely loved our time here and will definitely be coming back every year. A truly exceptional property that is hard to leave!"

Hotel Palma

8/10 Good

"The hotel itself was excellent. The only faults were the bar staff were so slow and they struggled to understand what you wanted, the other issue we had was they took away the beach loungers and said the beach was closed after the first of October. Loads of guests were sitting on towels on the stones whilst the loungers were tied up by the side of the beach."

Kotor Nest

10/10 Excellent

"We had a wonderful stay at Kotor Nest! The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the Old Town, making it easy to explore everything on foot. Our room was spacious, with a modern bathroom, and the staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. A special thanks to Danica, who helped us arrange a car to the airport on our departure day and was always happy to assist with anything we needed. Kotor Nest is a little different from a typical hotel, as the coffee service is located in the hallway rather than in your private room. However, we actually enjoyed this setup because it gave us the opportunity to chat with other guests staying in the hotel. Another great perk was the laundry service, which was very reasonably priced compared with what you would typically pay at a hotel. I would highly recommend Kotor Nest to anyone visiting Kotor. Between the excellent location, comfortable rooms and wonderful staff, it made our stay even more enjoyable. We would absolutely stay here again!"
