When is the best time to go to Lara?

The best time to visit Lara is during the warmer months, from November to March, when the weather is ideal for enjoying the region's outdoor attractions. During these months, you can expect pleasant temperatures, superb for exploring the You Yangs Regional Park, which offers walking trails and panoramic views. The warm weather also makes it a great time to visit the Serendip Sanctuary, where you can observe native Australian wildlife in a natural setting. This period is particularly good for families looking to spend time outdoors. For those interested in local events and a more relaxed pace, the shoulder seasons of October and April are also lovely. The weather is still mild, and there are fewer crowds, offering a more tranquil experience.

"Staff were friendly and helpful. The room as nice and spacious with a balcony. We requested for the room to be made up upon check in but had to request again as housekeeping had not been- they were prompt to do so. The construction of the new tower was only a bother in the morning and it was a little frustrating that we were only informed this was happening after booking a non refundable room. Luckily our second night was a public holiday."

Top Lara Hotel Reviews

Torquay Tropicana Motel

8/10 Good

"The rooms are a little dated in style, but are well maintained. They are a good size and access to the garden seating outside the sliding door is a nice touch. The room and bathroom was clean, but needs some maintenance of the skylight above the shower. The air-conditioning heating worked well. It was a good price at a reasonable location."
