Our cozy home on Rim Dr has beautiful views from the grand living/family room, a freestanding real wood fire stove and a large flat screen TV with cable/Wifi and a stereo system. The house has all necessary appliances and fixtures throughout, newly tiled bathrooms, and carpet in the all bedrooms. There is lovely oak flooring in the grand family room.

There is a covered Hot-Tub with seating for up to 6 people, professionally maintained. This Tahoe Rim Home is warm and comfortable, perfect for Tahoe vacations all year round.

The ski season usually runs from Thanksgiving to Easter, Casinos entertainment nearby at the CA/NV state line village.

Beds were in very poor shape. Only 2 washcloths for 4 people! Only 2 hand towels. Bath towels sufficient. No dishcloth in the kitchen and only 1 dish towel. Furniture on deck very dirty. Hot tub cloudy and extremely hot. Blinds in 2 bedrooms broken.

The house is in a quiet location. You can tell the house is dated and it would be nice to see some upgraded features like new mattresses. The kitchen countertops are nice but the cupboards were super old and most of the dishes were dirty when we arrived. Not a deal-breaker. There's a dishwasher there and we washed everything. The deck was nice, but again, old furniture. We didn't use the hot tub so I can't comment. Overall, the house is a beautiful house but could use some TLC. (Like the toilet paper roll was broken downstairs. That's an easy fix). You could easily take 1-2 payments from guests and reinvest it into the house. This would be a huge improvement. Communication was not great. Even though codes were in the initial email, they were buried below and missed. That's my fault but it would be an easy fix to just put that information right at the top. We were calling attempting to try to reach the host but didn't receive anything until the next day. Overall, the house is nice, just dated. It's too bad that they don't give it some TLC. It would really go a long ways. It was a nice place to relax. Especially the deck.

Fabulous Tahoe “tree house”

This house is spacious and very well designed for a family group hanging out in the open wood-paneled living room with high ceilings or dining out on the lovely deck. We made several elaborate dinners/breakfasts, and the kitchen was very accommodating (with dishwasher!) It doesn’t directly overlook the lake, though you can see patches of the water through branches of beautiful tall trees. It’s also very close to Kings Beach and only 15 mins or so from Tahoe City, where there are many great restaurants and good ol’ Fanny Bridge, by the Truckee River.

Our stay was excellent!!! The cabin was perfect for our family and is in a great location. We had 9 people, 5 adults and 4 kids, and fit easily with everyone having a place to sleep. No issues or complaints for us. We would definitely stay here again!

The house is nice and big but many things in the kitchen are old and in disrepair. There is a mouse that lives in the house. I first saw its poo on the living room side table and then we saw it running by the TV during the night. The host lists a private pool and bbq as amenities. They confirmed that there is no pool and we aren't allowed to use the bbq, it was locked up. It could use a visit from the owners to update the kitchen supplies and it needs more towels for the kitchen and bathrooms. The hot tub was very chlorinated, so much my kids were coughing while sitting in it. Aside from those things, we did enjoy how close it was to the lake, the views and the spaciousness. The cooling system was very nice and worked well. We all slept comfortably on the beds, the master has a sleep number bed which was a nice surprise.

The house is not very clean. Mice in the house with there turds around the edges. The hot tub is also unclean and luke warm. Carpeting downstairs is dirty and smells musty. The house was listed as having 2 BBQ'S but had none. The owner said county rules, but every other house had a bbq. The owner was very rude on the phone, stating if I didn't like it to leave. Trash was overflowing, owners son emptied 2nd day. I would not stay at this house. We stay at 6-8 vrbo's a year, definitely the dirtiest one so far.

Not a bad stay

Home was acceptable and overall nice, but there were some oddities that could be easily addressed that would have made this stay better. The kitchen tools were all haphazardly stowed, so it was rather confusing finding equipment needed to cook our meals. The downstairs bathroom didn’t have a soap dispenser, just a large bottle of soap refill. There weren’t any shower supplies like soap, shampoo, or conditioner, which is a first. The vacuum and electric lid for the garbage didn’t properly work. That said, the hot tub was excellent, the home had charm, and the beds were clean and comfortable!
