The master suite boasts a tropical trip-tic by a local artist. In addition, the dining and living areas also include original art. From the moment you step in the door you will be greeted by a breathtaking view of the ocean: Lana'i island to the left and Molokai island to the right. As you proceed to our 43ft. wraparound lanai, you will most often be greeted by green sea turtles as they feed on coral in the surf. You'll enjoy our free WiFi throughout the condo and cable TV in both bedrooms and the living room. Our full kitchen with new appliances is well stocked with service for 6 and a washer/dryer is located in the unit. The dining table seats 6\. The master suite is large with a comfortable king bed w/luxury linens; a 42' flat panel TV/DVD; and a clock radio w/docking station. The guest bedroom has twin beds that convert to king if desired; a 36' flat screen TV/DVD; clock radio with docking station. Both main bathrooms include a tiled walk-in shower with luxury linens. The living room has a comfortable queen size foldout couch with large flat screen TV and DVD player. Free wireless internet (WIPI) is available within the unit. To the left as you walk in the front door is a bonus 1/2 bath which is desirable for when you have guests over to visit. The wraparound couch in the living room folds out to a queen bed, so the condo sleeps six comfortably. Three sets of sliders give access to the 43ft. wraparound lanai from the dining area, living area, and master bedroom. This provides breathtaking and seemingly private ocean and mountain views. The Royal Kahana property boasts a spacious pool area with a large heated pool; an impeccably maintained lawn area with lounge furniture for sunbathing; a large indoor cabana for dining and entertainment; several gas barbeques, ping pong tables, and shuffleboard. There is an exercise room with treadmills, weight machines, and stair-stepper. Parking is available outside or in the underground garage. The Royal Kahana resort charges $18 per day for parking. Come and enjoy our little piece of paradise. I actually felt like I could stay here and never leave, with the ocean view, the gorgeous sunsets, and the soft sounds of the waves - and there’s so much to do in Maui! The property manager, Jennifer, responded quickly to our questions the first day we were there, and never needed to contact her again. The A/C worked perfectly, as did the stove, dishwasher, etc. The property owner, Michael, was very responsive when we had questions in the weeks prior to arriving. The Royal Kahana pool, for all guests, is large and beautiful - it was never crowded (but we were there in Sept., after the school year began). This is the first condo in which we’ve stayed in Hawaii to which we’d definitely return - and we’ve stayed in many nice condos over the decades in Kauai, Maui, Oahu, & Big Island. ##### Pat A. I will be back! More communication needed between property manager and owner. In our experience we arrived and our unit had not been cleaned and PM was unaware we were arriving. We arrived at 8pm. Kudos to the owner Mike because as soon as I contacted him he had the issue of cleaning taken care of immediately. Went to bed every night and woke up to the sound of waves hitting the rocks below. Spent a lot of time at the pool and nearby beach. Plenty of room for our family of 5\. Common spaces at the property are well-maintained and were not crowded. Grills are new and in excellent condition. Pool is cleaned thoroughly every morning. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. However the furniture and fixtures and mattresses were dated. It was stated that the unit had a new A/C but the thermostats indicated over 80 degrees when we checked-in at 4PM. By 10PM it was still at 76-78 degrees. The bedroom ceiling fans helped but was not enough that we even had to add a desk fan. 2 of the 3 tower/floor fans provided did not work. ##### Jose C. The only issues were that the AC broke down several times, and one night we went to sleep sweating with 81+ temp inside. The AC is a community AC, and won't cool to below 76\. The WiFi also sometimes cuts out. It looks like that was a building issue as well. The washing machine smelled like mold, and we reported it. Someone came to sanitize it, but it still smelled of mold afterward. But, fortunately, our clothing still smelled okay after washing. The last issue is that the master bathroom appears to be breeding fruit flies. I killed a dozen in that bathroom. I think they are aware of the issue, as there were fruit fly sticky pads in that room. Otherwise, it's a very nice unit. The complex is aging, but nice. It does appear that they try to keep it up. The condo itself has great views. The wrap around balcony is very nice. The double bedroom is great too. We slept only 3 there and it was very comfortable. ##### J H. We stayed here with our three teen boys and we all had a fantastic time. Mike provided great advice and instructions. The condo was well equipped and had beautiful views - morning coffee on the balcony watching the sea turtles was relaxing. We could access the beach from a small walkway beside the pool. We stopped at Costco on the way down - the Royal Kahana has 5 large bbqs out back and we used them ! The Beach House, Dollie’s Pub (pizza) and China Boat are all great places within walking distance to eat. Hot complimentary coffee was served downstairs every morning. All staff were very pleasant. The condo has snorkel gear and beach chairs and towels, and after time at the beach, we were in the pool before heading back up to our room. We’d definitely stay here again.
