Great property to spend time in nature away but not too far away from the traffic and congestion of La Fortuna! It is still easy to access all the local attractions. What the family really enjoyed was the outdoor shower. Would definitely stay again!!

It could not have been any better! Silvia was great, we enjoyed the house, especially the outside sitting area and the outdoor shower. Silvia was amazing, great host and great travel help. She recommended and booked some great tours for us! Would highly recommend this house.

This was one of our favorite parts of our 10 day trip to Costa Rica as a family of 4 with 2 teenagers. Off the beaten path- felt like you were right in the rain forest. The outside was pristine and the outdoor shower was amazing. Only time inside was to sleep. Near activities but away from the business of La Fortuna, with a fruit stand right in next door. Hosts were incredible and very accommodating and welcoming. Highly recommend the Hummingbird Jungle and would definitely return!!!

Clean with everything we needed in a small kitchenette. Also a few extras like a luxurious outdoor shower! The veranda was a relaxing hangout spot, bring your mosquito repellent. Appreciate the short trail attached to the property, was able to do some short birding hikes. The owner is an amazing gardener, tropical plantings all around. Loved the green orchids — I still have to look them up to see what species they are. Silvia was a great help in explaining the local attractions and made herself available to help us make reservations when our Spanish wasn’t good enough for phone conversations. One drawback was road noise, but that may be common in most places where everything is built off of one road snaking through the hills.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property near La Fortuna! Silvia was an amazing host with very good communication both prior to arrival and throughout our entire stay. Silvia also helped us get tickets to excursions for cheaper than it would have been to get them directly from company. The house was clean and was conveniently located. We loved the outside patio area, and my kids loved using the outdoor shower! Only complaint is that you could hear the trucks at night sometimes, but that is not the hosts fault. Highly recommend!

The most lovely home I've ever been at. It's cozy, homey, fantastic surrounding, peaceful and I can keep going on. Is highly recommend Calibris cabin which is the best of all of them at Silvia's place. The cabins are in the back, farther from the main road, while Silvia, her sister and Dad live in a separate house out front. Silvia have a good overview of the house and surrounding places to go to, at time of check in. After that, you hardly see them - so no concern about being bothered. Home is well appointed. We did have over issue with the shower shorting and burning up, building up a lot of smoke in the house. Silvia's system Christina immediately put us up in another cabin next door, and was very apologetic. That was indeed a little inconvenience to move everything in the night, but I can understand when unfortunate incidents occur and Silvia and family really helped out. Overall id definitely stay at Silvia's place and always recommend to anyone visiting La Fortuna

Silvia was always on top of communication. She made sure to be available as soon as we got to the home and showed us around and how everything worked. She even had fresh mangoes for us as well. She sent us so many recommendations for restaurants and grocery stores and everything we’d need in the surrounding area. She was also able to help us if we needed to book activities or excursions at a local rate than what we found online. The place was beautiful and felt very tropical. The outdoor bathroom shower was the highlight of the place with the outdoor patio. The home is surrounded by the most beautiful tropical plants and we were able to see exotic birds, toucans, iguanas, and lizards. I highly recommend renting a car as everything was about 15-25 minutes away. The roads are very easy to navigate and all activities including the town central, hot springs, Ziplining, waterfall hikes were very easy to get to.
