Captain's Studios & Apartments
Corfu
8.2 out of 10, Very good, (27 reviews)
"Booked this for myself and 2 teenage daughters so they could go party and i could R& R. It didnt disappoint! Rooms are spacious & clean with everything you need. Its a 10 min walk from the strip so far enough away from the rowdiness of Kavos if you want a quiet break. The beach is literally the back garden and the pool is never too busy with comfortable loungers to sit on. The family do their utmost to make your stay be the best it can be. Nothing is too much trouble! They really make you feel...

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Kritika?
The best area to stay in Kritika is Kritika Town, also known as Chora, for its central location, amenities, and access to the island's main attractions.

Kritika Town is the island's capital and largest settlement. It's built amphitheatrically around a natural harbour, with narrow, winding streets, traditional white-washed houses, and a Venetian castle perched on a hill overlooking the town. The main square, Plateia Syntagmatos, is a lively hub with cafes and shops, and the waterfront promenade offers a selection of tavernas and bars.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will find Kritika Town particularly appealing. The historic architecture and scenic views create a beautiful backdrop, and there are numerous intimate restaurants and charming boutique hotels tucked away in the quieter alleys. Strolling through the old town in the evening, with the castle lit up, is a memorable experience.

For travellers seeking convenience and a good range of facilities, Kritika Town is an excellent choice. It offers the widest selection of accommodation, from luxury hotels to guesthouses, and has the most dining options, car rental agencies, and shops.
When is the best time to go to Kritika?
The best time to visit Kritika is generally from May to October, when the weather is warm and sunny, making it ideal for enjoying the island's beaches and outdoor activities.

May and early June offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and the landscape is still very green and lush. This period is great for couples or solo travellers who prefer a more relaxed experience, perhaps exploring ancient sites or hiking the quieter trails without the peak summer heat.

July and August are the peak summer months, with the hottest weather and the most visitors. This is the great time for families looking for lively beach experiences and a full range of water sports activities. The sea is at its warmest, and all facilities are fully operational.

September and October provide a lovely balance. The sea remains warm enough for swimming, but the intense heat of summer has subsided, and the crowds thin out considerably.

All sorts of factors affect price, such as the time of year or the days of the week you choose for your stay.
