The hotel was in easy walking distance to the free harbour foot ferry and busses. Short bus or taxi ride to airport. Staff were helpful and courteous. Breakfast was great.

Everything is fine. Parking overnight is available with 120 NOK including electric car slow charging. The room has a bathtub instead of a shower cube and it was slippery. The room with water view is not bad. Breakfast is included with choices which seem to be standard across hotels in Norway.

Overbooking of hotel
I reserved two rooms for my family over a month in advance. When we arrived I was told that I had only one room. Scandic claimed that they were overbooked and they were cancelling many reservations. They claimed that my room problem was due to a mistake made by Hotels.com. Regardless of whoever made the mistake, I am unhappy with the inconvenience of having to find and stay in a lesser hotel, separated from family.

Disappointing needs renovation
The hotel is very dated. The rooms are nowhere near the standard of other scandic hotels I stayed in on this trip. The walls are very thin and you can hear the people in the room next door (who were very noisy). The breakfast was very good

Nice stay, but overpriced for what you get.
The hotel reserved parking is NOT free. Even though they made it seem like all we needed was a parking card from the reception. It's actually 120 nok pr. Day. Which you will be charged for on checkout. No one mentioned this on check in. With free parking elsewhere even with closer access than the hotel parking, this seems very deceptive. And the hotel parking requires climbing 3 stories of stairs outside the building to get to the reception. Other than this, the room was OK, old and worn, but new, good beds. Very bad layout in the shower/bathtub. With soap dispensers mounted on the wall right where you need to stand to shower. Making it really cramped and hard to use the dispensers because they are right in the shower spray. 😂 Breakfast pretty good, with a decent selection of hot and cold. Exactly the same on both days (sun-Mon). So I guess don't expect variety.

Vi anbefaler å ta ut/inn bagasje via hovedinngangen i resepsjon. Vi har også rom med dusj, spør oss gjerne neste gang i resepsjon ved innsjekk :)

Compared to other Scandics I have stayed in, the rooms seemed a bit run down. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable.

Nice stay!!
Very friendly receptionist good stay. Room was short on soap though. Mentioned this at check out and the gentleman at the counter apologised and said it would be fixed. All in all an enjoyable stay. Great breakfast!!

Lovely Breakfast and good location
Spent 3 nights at this hotel. On checking in we were asked if we would like to pay an additional 2000 Kr per night for an upgrade to a superior room with sea view which we did. (appx £20 per night), but were then disappointed to find this "superior room" had a bulb missing from the light and something falling out of the wall in the bathroom. To be fair the bulb had been replaced by the time we had returned from a trip out having made reception staff aware. The key card did not open the gym door and on mentioning this to reception we were told it didn't work as the lift took you straight there, however we were on the 9th floor which was the furthest the lift went and the gym and sauna were up some more stairs so it remained unclear how you actually access them. The twin room was adequate. The breakfast was fabulous with something for everyone, hot and cold, healthy and not so healthy! Kristiansund was very quiet the weekend we visited, but the location of the hotel was good as it was easy walking distance around the area, and port. We used it as a base to drive the Atlantic Ocean Route and further afield. Parking was in a multi-storey car park behind the hotel and being next to the Police Station felt very safe!

Great location. We arrived on a Sunday so the town was sleepy as it is in Norway on Sundays. It was very peaceful. BEST hotel breakfasts I ever had!

A bit warm, but with nice staff
The hotel was very easy to find and well maintained. It had a nice breakfast and great staff. The room was slightly smaller than average and unfortunately we were visiting during a bit of a heatwave. With no A/C in the room, it was a long night.

Absolutely incredibly great breakfast, well worth it for that alone! A huge variety of options, as a vegetarian who tries to avoid dairy and eggs, I found reasonable options. The hotel staff were also truly fantastic. The woman on the reception desk when we arrived gave us tons of very friendly help, giving us advice on where to go, what to see. And later on she went above and beyond to get us a flask with hot water and cups that we could use to make tea in our room. The hotel location was good, very central, and we did the walk to Klubba from the hotel - wow, what a beautiful walk on our first day in Norway! Otherwise, we found the room clean and comfortable. The pillow was a bit lumpy and I would have liked a couple of extra pillows of different thickness to choose from. And the general feeling of all the furnishings in the hotel is somehow a little bit tired. But overall it was still a really nice experience, and we would definitely consider staying there again.

Ideal for a Night
Stayed here prior to driving the Atlantic Ocean Road. It is 30mins away. Perfect location for this. Arrived late in the afternoon so missed theview on the water. Parking was interesting, an abandoned parking lot below the hotel with limited access. Brekky was excellent! Lots to choose from and really fresh. Comfy beds although sofa bed for the kids. Huge bath/shower. Good space to put things. Overall very happy.

Nice location on the harbour
The hotel is on the harbour, near some nice restaurants and a 2 min walk to the ferry. The rooms were comfortable although a bit on the smaller side if you are traveling with kids. The breakfast was excellent... Great spread of breads, cheese, meat, pastries and eggs made to order.

A good place to stay in Kristiansund
My hotel in Kristiansund. I have been staying here every time that I travel to Kristiansund. The hotel is well placed close to the fjord, with a great view of the city is his bar at 10th floor. It has a great breakfast, with diversity, ranging from Norwegian to English breakfast and also more typical continental Europe breakfast. Highly recommended.

Hotel in Kristiansund
The hotel is just walking distance to the harbor but not in a special neighborhood. The parking is detached from the hotel so you cannot access the hotel from the parking. The room is fine and comfortable. The breakfast was great with lots of choices but is on the same floor as the reception so does not have good harbor views. There is a bar on the top floor with great views of the water and the town. The service was cold and unfriendly.
