Given the low price we were greatly surprised at how nice the hotel was. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and helpful. They upgraded our rooms as they realized we were a family and wanted to site us as close together as possible - which was very kind and they did this at no extra cost. Given that there was a heatwave with temperatures of 36 degrees C outside we didn't expect the air conditioning to hold up but it did! It was amazing and our room was lovely and cool. The rooms were cleaned efficiently and breakfast was very good - there was something for all the family including the autistic members of the family. I miss the waffles and caramel! Also, the location was excellent - right next to local convenience shops and the old town and only a few minutes' walk from the main rail station. We were going to go for one of the more expensive branded hotels further out but I'm glad we picked Hotel Alexander. Everyone was happy and we would have no hesitation on recommending the hotel and staff.

Would stay here again. Super clean hotel close to the Main square. There is a conscience store and other stores around the corner. Also many restaurants. You are close to most tourists sites except Jewish Square. Although very walkable location. Big room. Water pressure good. Comfortable bed and pillows. AC was good, cold when needed. Store your luggage after check out. FYI you can order a “to go bag” for early tours according to their rules I didn’t read this till later or else I would have ordered one for my day tour to Auschwitz. Good breakfast, it had a good variety including types of eggs, fruits, milks, breads, cereals and 2 big coffee machines for espresso, lattes etc. I enjoyed the breakfast. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Great hotel just 10 mins walk from centre of old town. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby and location is excellent. The lovely breakfast was a bonus! Great value for money, would definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay

This is a really nice, clean, modern hotel with wonderful breakfast and friendly people. I highly recommend. Location is also excellent.

My single room was super clean and had 2 huge windows with a direct view of the Carmelite church. Space was very tight but who spends time in a hotel when in Krakow? Room darkening curtains were super useful given the street lights and the early sunrise. Breakfast works for all kinds of habits and diets. Hallways have water dispensers and rooms have electric tea kettles with instant coffee and with tea bags. Would’ve liked a mini fridge though I don’t know where it’d fit. Location is excellent and price is incredibly fair, in particular because of the ample breakfast choices. Car and taxi traffic in front can cause delays, as you’d expect in the Old Town area.

I was on a very quick overnight so it was a ver brief stay, but the guys at reception were welcoming and helpful. When I checked in I mentioned I'd be leaving before breakfast started -- so they had a to-go breakfast waiting for me at 4:30 AM. Nice.
