Top Koromilia Hotel Reviews

Divani Meteora Hotel

Divani Meteora Hotel

8/10 Good
"This is a 5 star hotel and it is very good and has a fantastic breakfast with a huge choice. However, there were a few niggly aspects: our room did not have tea or coffee making facilities as not all rooms have them; no water was provided in the room apart from on the first day; our room wasnt cleaned even though the beds were made and in order to get to the indoor pool (which is very nice) guests are obliged to walk outside even in heavy rain, when they could walk through the restaurant. I think walking outside to get to the pool might be fine in the summer season, but I think in the off season access to the pool should be accommodated through the restaurant."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Koromilia?
The best area to stay in Koromilia is the village centre, particularly near the main square and along the road towards the Meteora monasteries.

This central area offers a pleasant base for exploring. You'll find a selection of guesthouses and a few traditional tavernas here. The main road through the village provides direct access to the monasteries, which are the region's main draw. It's a compact village, making it easy to get around on foot.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will appreciate the village's quiet setting. The guesthouses often provide balconies with views of the surrounding mountains and the distant Meteora rocks, great for a relaxing evening. You're also well-placed for scenic walks in the nearby countryside.

For travellers focused on convenience and quick access to the Meteora monasteries, staying along the main road just outside the village centre is a practical option.
When is the best time to go to Koromilia?
The best time to visit Koromilia for pleasant weather and outdoor activities is from late spring to early autumn, specifically May, June, September, and October.

During these months, the weather is generally warm and sunny, superb for exploring the natural beauty of the region without the intense heat of mid-summer. You'll find the hiking trails around Mount Olympus more comfortable, and the local villages are bustling but not overly crowded. This period is ideal for couples seeking a peaceful getaway with opportunities for walking and enjoying the scenery.

Families travelling with children might prefer July and August. While these months are hotter and busier, they offer the warmest swimming conditions in the nearby beaches and lakes, and all local attractions and facilities are fully operational.
