Coco Cottage at Poipu Beach is a classic, sugar plantation-style home located on the sunny south shore of Kauai. Completely rebuilt, it offers beautiful furnishings, a fully equipped kitchen, full-size washer and dryer, two air-conditioned bedrooms, each with a king-size bed, two bathrooms, and a huge, breezy lanai - offering island living at its best. Located in the heart of Poipu, Coco Cottage is just a 30-second walk to the ocean at the end of the street where you will find Brennecke's Beach and Poipu Beach Park for some of the best swimming, sunning, snorkeling and surfing on Kauai. Restaurants, delis, coffee shops, surf & beach rental shops, and a tennis club are all within an easy stroll of the cottage. Kauai is a dream destination, with the famous Na Pali Coast on one end of the island and stunning Waimea Canyon on the the other. Coco Cottage is the perfect place to take advantage of all the adventures Kauai has to offer, or to relax and do nothing at all.

The cottage is beautiful! Perfect for our stay. We spent a lot of time on the lanai, so peaceful and relaxing. It was fun watching the hen and baby chicks, and the rooster was beautiful. The neighbors (Tina and Lon) we so nice, even bringing us bananas and lots of tips on what to see. The kitchen had everything needed and more. Thank you for the welcome basket, it was so appreciated. Joan and Richard are excellent hosts, very helpful!

Lovely cottage, great location, half a block to the ocean front where we saw fabulous sunsets. The back porch was a beautiful spot to sit together and enjoy meals and the yard is spectacular! Lots of birds to listen to.

Das Haus liegt in einer sicheren, ruhigen und gepflegten Umgebung und war größer als erwartet.Alles war sehr ordentlich und bestens ausgestattet – es gab wirklich alles, was man braucht: viele Küchenutensilien, Strandstühle, Sonnenschirm und vieles mehr. Besonders praktisch war, dass der Strand sowie Geschäfte und Restaurants in nur wenigen Minuten erreichbar sind.Wir haben uns hier sehr wohlgefühlt und können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank, für die tolle Gastfreundschaft – wir kommen gerne wieder!

We had an amazing stay! Joan and Rick were wonderful hosts and had quick and thoughtful communication throughout our stay. The house was incredible and a short walk to the beach. Truly lovely house with cozy rooms, plenty of fans, efficient AC, a cook’s kitchen, and a fantastic loving vibe. Very short walk to Puka dog, Brennecke beach (and restaurant), and shopping center with bakery, coffee, sushi including a small market for essentials. Dying to go back!

Happy repeat visit!

This was our second stay at the Coco Cottage and it did not disappoint! In addition to the perfect location 5 minute walk from the beach, the house is exquisitely appointed with everything needed for a great vacation, even including beach supplies such as chairs, umbrellas, and toys! We hope to return a third time some day!

Great Aloha Spirit at Coco Cottage

This was our second time staying at Coco Cottage and it was outstanding. Our first stay was in 2019 for two weeks. This stay in 2025 was for a month. Picking Coco Cottage for this extended time was perfect. The house has everything we needed with many personal touches. I loved drinking my evening cocktail out of the antique Hula Girl glasses. Joan and Rick were kind and attentive without infringing. They brought us flowers and mangos from the tree. They responded quickly during all communications. The experience was outstanding. M&J

Our stay at Coco Cottage was exceptional. The beauty of the property with hidden Gems of Orchids brought peace and relaxation on the lanai.We were very comfortable! The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need. Umbrellas and chairs for the beach were also provided. The location is great! It is an easy walk to Poipu beach where we enjoyed watching the turtles. The Hosts were very responsive, welcoming, and have thought of everything for a home away from home. We would come back!!

Awesome House

This house is exactly what it looks like except even better. It is fully equipped, comfortable, great location. The back deck is so inviting we sat there for many hours. I would definitely stay here again. It is a comfortable walk to the beach and restaurants. Great home.
