Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the private onsen inside the room was spotless and lovely. The meals were traditional Japanese cuisine and very tasty. I had stayed at a different ryokan the night before in a Western-style room, so this stay was a completely new experience. The staff and service were wonderful, and the location of the ryokan was very scenic. I had not included dinner in my booking, but I wish I had. I did rent the private onsen for 45 minutes and was able to enjoy the relaxing effects of Arima’s famous gold and silver waters. The tatami-style room was charming and comfortable, and I would love to return in the future and bring friends with me.
