NEW FOR 2024: 2 Full Bathroom remodels; new premium flooring throughout (no carpeting); new recessed lighting, new large sectional sofa, new comfortable King mattress, 3 newly hung, larger flat-screen TVs and new dishwasher and microwave. Come together at The Gathering Place where you can see and hear the waves crashing on the beach in this 3rd Floor condo with a fantastic view! This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo is perfect for a small family getaway or a weekend with friends to enjoy endless days at the beach! The Gathering Place is a short drive away from amazing dining, shopping, and much more in the town of Duck.

Inside this Duck condo, you'll find a spacious living area complete with stunning views of the ocean. Catch a movie on the 3 flat screen TVs or just take some time to relax and unwind on the deck. The kitchen features everything you need to prepare meals during your stay with dining room table seating for 4 and breakfast bar seating for 2; there's plenty of space for everyone in your group to enjoy tasty home cooked meals. You can take advantage of the breezy OBX evenings or stunning morning sunrises on the furnished covered porch; the perfect place to dine or enjoy a cup of coffee. The Gathering Place is a semi-oceanfront which offers beautiful views of the ocean. Located in the Colony By The Sea community, guests will have access to the outdoor pool, tennis court, childrens' swing set, grills and picnic tables! Laundry facilities are located under the building. There is no elevator.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Comfortable and Convenient Place

We loved that there was a nice view of the pool and ocean from the balcony. Loved the tall balcony chairs allowing you to see over the rail. The walk to the beach was easy and the kids enjoyed the pool especially on red flag days. The location is great- close to the shopping and restaurants of Duck.
