"**A Wonderful Stay at Dayang Bay Resort, Langkawi** We had a fantastic stay at Dayang Bay Resort in Langkawi! While the hotel is a little dated in some areas, the wonderful staff more than made up for it. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. We stayed in the **Family Studio Suite, Sea View**, and were very impressed with how spacious it was. The highlight was definitely the amazing view overlooking the bay and the **Maha Tower**. Top Kisap Hotel Reviews

PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort

8/10 Good

"Very clean rooms and comfy beds. Excellent buffet breakfast with so much selection. Two pools and close to the beach."

Tanjung Rhu Resort

10/10 Excellent

"Amazing stay in Tanjung Rhu resort, the hotel, the see view, the scenery, everything was just perfect!! The food (breakfast and dinner) were very qualitative. The pools very nice. I can only recommend this amazing hotel that is perfectly sized. Thank you from your Moroccan customers to all the staff 🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾"

Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa, Langkawi

10/10 Excellent

"This was the best place to stay. It rained throughout our vacation and we couldn’t have found a more comfortable place to relax and watch the downpour. The staff treated us so well. The room was very clean and the grounds were beautiful. I love the architecture of the resort. The generous buffet breakfast in the morning was also a lovely perk, as well as the swim up bar in the pool."

The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi

10/10 Excellent

"A true bliss with the highest standard - but let the monkeys teach us, not entertain us We just returned from Ritz-Carlton Langkawi and it was exceptional on every level. *Room:* Impeccably clean, huge, quiet, true Ritz standard. Every detail perfect, from linens to bathroom. *Staff:* Warm, attentive, never intrusive. You feel genuinely cared for, not just served. Malaysian hospitality at its best. *Breakfast:* Outstanding variety, fresh, with local flavors and perfect service even at peak hours. *Beach & View:* Stunning. Private, calm, turquoise water with rainforest as backdrop. You feel in nature but with absolute luxury. What made it UNIQUE for us was the resident troop of dusky leaf monkeys (spectacled langurs). An endangered, gentle species living right in the resort. Watching mothers with bright orange babies in the morning is pure magic — something you will not find in any other luxury resort. One suggestion to make this paradise even better: *Have the naturalist more engaged with guests around the monkeys.* Many guests don't know how fragile they are. A short briefing at check-in or some.leaftllet to explain, or during morning walk — how to behave, keep distance, no feeding / touching, why our human viruses (even a cold) and feeding can cause disease, behavior change and dependence. Ritz has a chance to be a leader in conservation education, not just luxury. The monkeys are a gift, let's help guests protect them"

The Danna Langkawi - A Member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World

10/10 Excellent

"The Danna is a small(ish) hotel that trades on its beachfront location and luxurious rooms. We were very happy there during our five night stay. Each of the three restaurants offers decent food and generous portions. The pool area is comfortable, although some maintenance may be required soon. All the staff are lovely. It’s a fine place either to do nothing or to go birdwatching or kayaking. Given the quality of the product the price is more than reasonable. My only criticism is that there needs to be a separate pool area for kids - otherwise the adults who just want to relax will find their day disrupted."

Dayang Bay Resort Langkawi

10/10 Excellent

"The sea view was great and definitely one of the highlights of the stay. However, there were a few things to take note of. The power points on the balcony didn’t work, so we had to check around the apartment to find out which ones were working. No toothbrushes were provided initially. They only provided them after we requested, so it’s better to bring your own toiletries. For food, I would recommend grabbing food from outside as it’s much cheaper. Only one restaurant at the resort was open during our stay, and the prices were quite expensive. There are some shops outside, but the choices are limited. There are also 24/7 shops nearby, which are convenient for emergency purchases. Breakfast was fair—not too bad, but nothing special. Room cleaning could also be improved. The cleaning was quite basic, and the restroom wasn’t properly cleaned. Also, do check whether the balcony has been cleaned, as ours wasn’t cleaned until we specifically asked them to do it. One good thing is that Parade Mall is right beside the resort. It has a supermarket, money changers, and baby shops, which was very convenient for us."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Kisap?

The best area to stay in Kisap is Kuah, which is the main town on Langkawi Island, where Kisap is located.

Kuah serves as the island's commercial and administrative centre, offering a wide array of amenities. You'll find numerous duty-free shops, restaurants, and local markets along its main thoroughfares, such as Jalan Persiaran Putra. The area also boasts the Eagle Square (Dataran Lang), a prominent landmark at the waterfront. For those who enjoy a bit of retail therapy, there are several shopping complexes.

Couples looking for convenience and a range of dining options will find Kuah particularly appealing. It's easy to access various island attractions from here, and the evenings offer plenty of choices for a meal out, from local hawker stalls to more formal restaurants. The proximity to the ferry terminal also makes it a practical choice for those arriving by sea.

For families, Kuah is a sensible option due to the variety of facilities available. There are larger hotels that often cater to families, and the easy access to shops for essentials, as well as a good selection of eateries, simplifies travel with children.

When is the best time to go to Kisap?

The best time to visit Kisap, Kedah, Malaysia is during the dry season, which generally runs from December to April.

This period is superb for activities like island hopping around Langkawi's archipelago or enjoying the beaches without the interruption of heavy rainfall. The calmer seas also make boat trips and water sports more enjoyable.

Families often find this time particularly suitable as the pleasant weather allows for uninterrupted outdoor adventures. You can easily plan excursions to places like Kilim Karst Geoforest Park or spend full days at the beach without worrying about monsoon downpours.
