Great couples get away

If you need that get away weekend for two, you will be hard pressed to find a better place. My wife and I celebrated our 37 years together and this place was perfect for the two of us. Clean and from the deck the view was fantastic.

Excellent vacation spot

My wife and I stayed in this vacation rental while we ran the OBX marathon. Absolutely beautiful get away spot. Perfectly located for great dining. While recovering from the race we enjoyed watching movies with the ocean in view from the couch. Definitely a great place to relax and enjoy the outer banks.

Wonderful winter time get away

We had such a relaxing time staying at Turtle Tides. Nothing can beat the view and the sound of the ocean waves from the deck. The hosts had a lot of great information available for us - many great restaurant recommendations. Off season at the beach is so magical. I really enjoy the quiet time to reflect at the end of the year.

Perfect spot, right on the KDH / NH line. Direct beach access from the balcony is amazing. Place was as advertised and very clean upon arrival. Gene even hooked us up with some Turtle Tides coffee mugs, a great subnet to remember the great time our family had!

Amazing !

My boyfriend and i had a very nice stay here at Turtle Tides ! although we stayed out of season, the property was clean and gorgeous and the views from the deck did not disappoint ! we had a little trouble getting in and Gene was very attentive and took the time to talk us through getting in quickly and kindly. Gene’s wife also made us some beautiful glasses to remember our stay! Overall 10/10, we’ll be booking again !

Great week long retreat from the grind of life!

Turtle Tides is a great 3rd floor penthouse for two. We enjoyed the full kitchen, direct beach access from our private deck and the great views. No need to walk down the stairs to the beach, just walk out and enjoy a hot cup of tea listening to the ocean waves from the balcony. Also Gene’s picks for places to eat are spot on! Will be going back for sure!

Spectacular Experience

The condo was beautifully decorated, clean, and the views were spectacular. The whole rental process from start to finish was seamless. The sheets and towels that were provided were an added bonus! The only thing I would suggest to enhance the experience would be either a larger bed (we are tall) or a more comfortable mattress. We will definitely be going back to stay there again!

The condo is decorated so nicely in the beach/turtle theme and is a very pleasant place to stay! We loved having coffee in the morning on the deck while watching the sunrise over the ocean and being able to walk right out onto the beach. The view is wonderful. The location is centrally located to explore both North and South parts of the outer banks and within walking distance to many restaurants. The owner was very responsive, and checked in several times over our short 3 days to to be sure all was perfect for our stay. We can't wait to bring family back next time! Be aware that the there are a fair amount of stairs to climb to get in, so those with mobility issues may have trouble

Turtle Tides Lifts The Human Spirit

Had a great time at Turtle Tides and we will definitely return. The beach was just steps away from the property. Conveniently located with privacy and quiet. Watched the sunrise most mornings from the property deck. Great place for a couple. For those wanting a change of pace from the ocean, the on site pool is a great addition. Unit is nicely furnished and decorated. Kitchen well equipped. Grocery stores and shopping nearby. Communication with Gene was excellent.

It was clean and the living area was spacious. It was not "5 star" though - the countertop in the kitchen is peeling; the frig is pitted/stained. Doesn't affect the use, but not nice looking. TV service was spotty; internet went down for several hours. Overall, though, we enjoyed our stay.
