The Golden Strand Condominium complex has long been a popular choice for vacationers, attracting repeat renters year after year. Golden Strand J2 is a second-floor unit, providing guests with more privacy and fabulous ocean views. A large outdoor pool and direct access to the beach means everything you need for a relaxing vacation will be just steps away. Equipped with a living/dining area, full kitchen, two bedrooms and two baths, this condo combines single-family privacy with resort-style amenities. A private oceanfront deck is located just off the great room, where you can watch the sunrise or listen to the waves. A life-guarded beach, kiddie pool, and a playground make Golden Strand ideal for families with children. Additional community features include a BBQ area with park grills and picnic table, two laundry facilities, outdoor showers, and an elevator for easy access to all levels. Situated in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, Golden Strand Unit J2 is less than a mile from shopping, dining, grocery stores, a movie theater and mini-golf. However, there are several items that definitely need a dressing. First in both bathrooms, there was mold or dirt inside the handles of the showers. Disgusting. A little TLC needs to happen to the portable A/C unit in the MB as cardboard and painters tape do not seal against gale force winds during the spring. Temps dropped and the unit was cold. Heat worked. I asked for the pool codes from the property manager and am still waiting. Our very kind neighbor gave us entry into the pool area.
