The open floor plan with plenty of shared living spaces is ideal for entertaining friends and family. A vaulted ceiling and lagoon view highlight the spacious living room. Adjacent to the main living area, a sitting room features access to the deck overlooking the lagoon. A guest suite is at the first floor with a Queen size bed and a full bath. Fully equipped, the kitchen has a center island with seating and offers plenty of storage and preparation room. The adjacent dining area, with lagoon views and skylights, opens to the deck and gives the chef a beautiful space to relax while waiting for the proverbial pot to boil. The dinning area also opens to the media room. The media room has a full-size sleeper sofa which provides additional sleeping space if needed. The upstairs, the master suite is a comfortable suite with King size bed and features a bathtub, dual vanities, sky-line, separate shower, and closest. There are additional two bedrooms and a bonus room upstairs. The two bedrooms, one with King size bed and the other with Queen size bed, share a full bath. There is also a bonus room, which has two Full size beds and separate full bath, ideal for kids/teenagers room. The property is about 1.2 mile/10 minutes bike ride to the beach. The owners were very responsive before and during our trip. There had been several updates/renovations to the home since we had originally booked the property, which was an added bonus. The home is about a 5-10minute bike ride to the beach, so it would be lovely if the property offered bikes (however it was very easy to book some from another company during our stay). The view of the marsh from the living room was so relaxing. The kitchen was very well stocked and nicely updated. The bathrooms also had been updated - the master bath was beautiful! The rest of the house was somewhat dated but the beds and furniture were comfortable. Outdoor gas grill worked great. We had zero complaints. The house is about 1.3 miles or so to the beach, so I recommend renting bikes. We used Island Bike & Surf (highly recommend) and rented a pull behind cargo trailer for our beach chairs etc. Turned a 30 min walk to a 10 minute ride to the beach. And outdoor furniture splintering. Interior doors did not lock, bedroom decor is dated, carpets really need to be replaced. Kids bedroom is in odd location of 3rd bedroom and ran hot, no HVAC flow. All amenities were exactly as described, the location was awesome (6 minute drive in both directions to great beaches) and the owners were incredibly responsive when we almost cancelled last minute due to COVID concerns. If you're heading to Kiawah with a group and need a house, this is a great choice. ##### Samuel G. Thermostats very hard to use and set Had one member fall in sunken living area very unsafe. Smoke detector was open with no batteries in it. Had to purchase toilet paper for 3 day stay? Everyone had a spot to hang out in. Could have used some toiletries: soap, shampoo. Could have used kitchen dish rags, more than 1 roll of paper towels, or 1 extra roll of TP. It was about an hour away from downtown Charleston. So you will need to plan accordingly if you want to tour things downtown. Access to the beach was easy and the beach was great! ##### Lorinda S. Alerted me of things going on in the home before we arrived. Gave great instructions on best way to go to beach by car or bike. It was a great place for families to get together. This is a spacious home with good flow; we were able to be together and also space apart. I especially loved the dining table which seated right quite comfortably.
