Located in the desirable Truman Annex community, this beautifully maintained second-story Shipyard condo offers the perfect blend of island charm and modern comfort. Featuring one spacious bedroom with a king size bed, a small loft area with a sofa sleeper, a modern style living area, and a private balcony. This tropical retreat is ideal for a vacation escape to paradise. Nestled just steps from Duval Street, Fort Zachary Taylor Beach, and the Key West Historic Seaport, you’ll enjoy easy access to world-class dining, shopping, and entertainment—while still enjoying the quiet serenity of a gated community. No dishwasher / small bathroom / kitchen storage for tall people

VRBO advertises this property has a dishwasher. It does NOT have a dishwasher. Be advised also that the bathroom sink is so small, to the point of almost being useless. Lastly, if you are short (under 5'8 or so), you'll never be able to reach the shelf above the sink that contains all the cups, glasses, etc. Other than that, the property is well maintained. Its in a good location within a mile or less of most of old town Key West. The pool was very nice. The Duval Loop bus has stops just before and just after the Truman Annex and passes right by the apartment. It made getting around without a vehicle very doable. Note that this free bus fare goes up to 1 as of July 7, 2025.

Wonderful place, convenient to EVERYTHING but in a quiet neighborhood so you can get away from the hustle and bustle and just relax. We LOVED it! Hopefully this will stay a short term rental so we can book again next year!

Great location

This condo was comfortable for me as a single person. The kitchen area is very well equipped with respect to utensils and cookware. The location is excellent. I walked to the beaches at Southernmost and Zachary Taylor State Park. For watching TV, i would recommend sticking with the FIsion system. It’s got everything most folks could possibly need and is very user-friendly.

Another relaxing vacation in Key West! Can't wait to return!

We had a really nice stay at the Sun Sea and Sky! The bed was sooo comfy (as was the sofa) the back deck is HUGE and the location can't be beat. The sink in the bathroom IS hilariously small, but it didn't affect our time at the condo. The extra space off of the kitchen was a handy spot to store our luggage and items we didn't need for the week. The washer and dryer were GREAT!! The onsite pool was lovely, and never crowded. The check in/out process was a bit of a pain, but you'll encounter that everywhere. Keys were needed for the pool and the gates, and it wasn't a big deal. The condo was spotless and the towels were nice! We did NOT want to leave, and we're already working to determine when we can return.

Wonderful! Location was amazing, close to all attractions, restaurants, and shops. No need for a car. Accommodations were very nice and Compass Realty was very prompt with correspondence and very accommodating as we needed to store our luggage until our flight left late the day we checked out. I would highly recommend this property to friends and family.

Close to a perfect stay

Just about everything about this property was perfect for the price - only drawbacks were the noise from traffic on Southard Street and the slow communication from the listing company. If the owners provided access to 2 bikes that would be even better, but the location and property condition were excellent. Maybe providing a white noise machine in the bedroom to drown out morning traffic would help as Southard St has become fairly busy with access to the amphitheater and State park.

Very Nice Property

Enjoyed the location and the Condo layout. Liked the large deck and privacy with the foliage in the rear. Our only complaint would be that there is really not storage for groceries & dry goods. Would rent it again!

Cute little apartment. We'll equipped with what you would need. There was even an umbrella we could use for the rainy day! When we got there the bathroom sink was draining really slow. I messaged the property manager and received a quick response. Maintenance came out that day and took care of the issue.

Nice Getaway

This property is in a good location making it easy to get to just about anywhere in Key West by foot. The unit itself was clean with nice furnishings and it had everything we needed for our week stay. Check in and check out was super easy.

Perfect tropical get away

Smaller upstairs one bedroom with additional space for maybe 1 person. Tropical colors and close to the action! Nice balcony. Quiet. Loved the annex neighborhood. Nice pool. queen bed just ok. Couldn't adjust temp below 73 degrees. Otherwise, perfect!

Excellent place and wonderful amenities. Overall only giving 4 stars because we were unable to use the French doors in the bedroom. This was one of the main reasons we booked, however that would be my only complaint. We Loved the location too!

Key West stay

Overall couldn't be happier with the property Truman annex, it is centrally located in regards to Duval St. The only concern I would say is the stairs going up to the 2nd Floor condo, the are very steep and dangerous at the bottom flight as it turns toward the door. But, overall I would stay at this property and would recommend it to other friends.
