Queen Emma at the Truman Annex in Key West

This beautifully finished and decorated four bedroom, three bath home has classic Key West architecture and is located on a charming tree lined street in Truman Annex. The custom designed two story home has an open floor plan on the main level with separate living and dining areas including a full bath and guest bedroom. The huge porch, perfect for entertaining, overlooks the large rear yard with pool and is accessed from the living area through two sets of French doors. Upstairs the spacious master suite opens to a private porch and the two guest rooms share a bath and porch.

A Gem in Key West's Truman Annex

We were celebrating the 20th anniversary of my husband's 40th birthday -- which we'd spent in Key West (the theme then was A Pirate Looks at 40; original, I know). In any event, this was truly one of the nicest properties I've rented through VRBO. The house was lovely, fitting in the neo-traditional neighborhood that is Truman Annex. Well-equipped and comfortable; we had every thing we needed. Lush landscaping and gorgeous outdoor space. The pool could use an update, but it didn't hinder our enjoyment of it. And, most importantly, the location was awesome. We could get anywhere we wanted either on foot or via the bikes we'd rented. Beach, bar and restaurant. I would definitely stay here again.

Family Vacation

We had a great time on our family vacation!! We were a group of 6. The location was perfect for our 20 something kids to walk to bars and restaurants. Something to do for everyone. The bike rental at We Cycle is super close to the house so it was really easy to rent bikes. Ft Zachary Taylor beach was lovely and also really close to the house. Everyone in our group said the house and location was perfect and we would definitely rent this house again!!

Queen Emma is wonderful!

We truly enjoyed this house. The backyard is private and the pool is the perfect size for a small group. The patio is set with a beautiful table and chairs for outdoor dining. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking and has ample refrigeration and freezer space.

The property was very nice. I loved the kitchen. And I cooked quite a bit while I was there. There were four couples that stayed. The only issue that we had was that the hair dryer was broken and there was only one in the house. Which we kind of expected there to be more but I don't know if that's realistic expectation. The space was wonderful. We did not have enough space for trash because it gets picked up only once a week so we ended up overloading the trash cans. But if that's the worst thing that's going to happen it's not a big deal. We would definitely stay at the house again the location was perfect. It was far enough away from Duval Street that it was quiet when you needed it to be. And it was close enough that the walk was short or the bike ride was short.

Property originally booked not available due to renovations… switched to different property. Great location, but had trouble with the auto thermostat and AC first day. Pool was dirty. Pool guy showed up mid week with no notification and let himself in with no notice. They need to ring the doorbell when there are renters.

Great house, great location!

We have rented in Truman Annex several times. This house is by far our favorite! Great outdoor space, gorgeous well-stocked kitchen, close to everything. The property manager was quick to respond and fix the issue with the king bed and some minor glitches with the appliances. We had a great week at Queen Emma!

Key West Escape

Overall couldn't ask for anything better. Really enjoyed with our couples week in Key West. House is immaculate, very clean and a joy to sit an visit with friends. One draw back was the master bed ( really needs a little tending to ). The pool was very refreshing and just right. Old Town Key West just so beautiful in Truman Annex who wouldn't enjoy their stay. Till we see you again!!

The home and location were perfect! The only problem we had was transportation. We are 6 adults. So we had the car we drove down in and rented a golf cart. We got 2 passes for each vehicle. Parked the golf cart sideways at the end of our garage space impacting on the road or any neighbor. The next day we got a notice to move the cart and the we could not have two passes! The gate gave us both passes!!! So we moved the car to a spot on Thomas Street several blocks from our home. Something needs to done about space for people who need the use of two vehicles!

Perfect vacation home!

We loved this home! It had plenty of amenities- including cleaning supplies, which is a definite plus!! Lots of towels and extra bedding! The pool was perfect for the six of us (adults) to cool down in the hot afternoons. Plenty of outdoor seating. Perfect location to walk to everything in Old Town. Highly recommend!!

Our stay at

My family of 8 stayed at this house for 2 weeks and we had a great time . House is gorgeous . Property location is close to most things. Truman Annex community felt very safe. Landscaping was beautiful, house nicely decorated, private pool was terrific, house was well equipped , high end appliances, nice grill, plenty of bath towels, sheets, pool towels , paper products, small shampoos, soap and everything to get you started. Generally property needs some TLC (sofa old, beds uncomfortable, rugs dirty, deck has some rotted spots, power washing needed outside, ice maker didn’t work, smoke detectors disconnected . We were there April 10 to 24 so we rented towards the end of the season ....issues will likely be corrected once season is over . Let’s face it ..... sadly rentals often take a beating !

Queen Emma @ the Truman Annex

We loved this property, especially the backyard pool and there were enough patio lounge chairs for all. I did ask for the twin beds to be put together to make a king bed (which was in the description of property) & that was not done. Also in the extra 2 bedrooms upstairs I suggest putting up a mirror in each room. That was a disappointment to our other guests especially sharing a bathroom, couldn't go to the bedroom & finish getting ready if someone else wanted to use bathroom. Also I have stayed in a AirBnB before & they had a list of "do's & don't's" or what is expected during the stay & then on departure. Yes I did bring my paperwork & would of had it in the email, but it's just nice for everyone to review it.

Key To A Staycation

Great staff. Easy check in. Great property in a gorgeous neighborhood that is safe and quiet. Great location that is very close to beaches, attractions and Duval Street. Felt like coming back home after being at the beach or just out on the town. Everything our group needed this house provided inside and out. Beautiful and private backyard. Great kitchen and master suite. Comfortable nice beds plus so many other places to just relax and rest wether inside or out. Highly recommended this property. Would definitely stay here again.
