The street is actually a boardwalk mounted on a set of stakes that support the dwellings built on the water. Formerly it was the district of the red light of Ketchikan. The brothels were banned and closed in 1954. Now the street is a place with shops, galleries, totems and the museum of the House of Dolly. Creek Street was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014. A Creek Street é uma área histórica de Ketchikan. I booked my room on the app while I was still on the plane. When I got across from the airport on the ferry there was a shuttle that picked me and a number of other passengers up. It was past the hour when the shuttle usually ran, but the driver was willing to stay late to take 3 groups of passengers to the hotel. I was thrilled that I got a wonderful king suit with a gas fireplace and comfortable bed. The bar had food and drinks and didn’t close until 11pm. I even received a discount on my breakfast the next morning. The only thing that I had to be disappointed in was that I asked for a wake up call that never came. I was glad that I had set my alarm."
