"At check in, it would have been helpful if the staff had given us an update on the restaurants and what and when they were open. I had to ask about the roof top bar/restaurant only to be told it was closed. On Labor Day weekend?? Disappointing."

"Pillows were lumpy and the bed/mattress would make strange loud noises occasionally. Room Service is very slow - I waited over an hour and left to go eat. Turns out they came while I was gone and didn't receive my order. Very clean room, everything worked."

The Retreat on Lake Michigan Spectacular 6 bd/4bth 4000 sqft

The Retreat on Lake Michigan Spectacular 6 bd/4bth 4000 sqft

10/10 Excellent
"One of the best experiences at a rental home, from my perspective, is feeling like a dear friend or family member has decided to share their treasured home with you. They trust you with their best. This felt like that. It was a privilege for our small group of older women to spend several days at the retreat. The obvious draw was the generous frontage on Lake Michigan. Our perfect weather allowed us to spend much of our time sitting on comfortable chairs under a covered patio area. Just what we wanted!Beyond that, prepare for first class amenities. The kitchen has every small appliance you could ask for, the knives are sharp, the refrigerator is huge, there are pots and pans beyond what anyone would need. I, personally, would add more serving bowls and storage for food and was glad I brought some serving boards and bowls. The beds were comfortable, good bedding, lots of towels, plenty of hangers in the closets. Outdoor and indoor seating was great for groups up to 12 adults. The entertainment options were plenteous - pool table, huge television (plus tvs throughout the bedrooms and bathrooms) and the garage held a ping pong table, darts and a treadmill. Fireplaces, indoor and out, lovely for cooler months. Fire pit with nice seating for story telling and s’mores. The area has lots to offer; we spent a day in Milwaukee (45 minutes away) and enjoyed a historical boat tour and fine restaurant and shopping. We enjoyed the Kenosha museum campus and dined at the famous Hobnob."
