"Very welcoming, helpful staff at this well-located boutique hotel. Only 5-10 mins to local tavernas/restaurants for an evening meal. Highly recommend booking a 'suite' if you want some private outside space. We did, & we had a large balcony with sunbeds and a perfect view of the sunset. The hotel is small, so recommend calling or messaging hotel in advance to confirm arrival time. Expedia do not seem to communicate this or other special requirements made at time of booking."

"Firstly. I must admit that all hotel services were quite satisfactory (accommodation, breakfast, cleaning etc) However, I would strongly suggest that the hotel owners' dog - who was moving free without a lace all over the place , having at times aggressive behaviour, thus, presenting a problem to the other dogs and to their owners TO BE KEPT UNDER STRICT SUPERVISION."

SkiNAmmos Eco Villas

SkiNAmmos Eco Villas

10/10 Excellent
"Spending time at SkiNAmmos was idyllic. After a 3 hour drive from Athens the unpaved last mile to SkiNAmmos was disconcerting. George was there to greet us and show us around. Katerina was in Karystos and even offered to bring us groceries if we needed. We quickly decompressed in our new, lovely, relaxed, quiet surroundings. We took a quick walk down to a fairly private beach, then braved the unpaved road to get to Marmari. The now familiar road was much easier now that we had traveled it. We wandered the property. Some plants were easily identifiable, like the pomegranate tree ripe with fruit. Others, like the oregano, rosemary and quince apple tree needed a guided tour with Katerina and George. And we enjoyed the sweetest melon….They also guided us to some truly wonderful restaurants. The rooms were spacious and very well appointed. I almost don’t want to share our experience at SkiNAmmos. I’d like to bring my kids and grandchildren there and I want to be able to reserve the rooms, but I do want to congratulate Katerina and George for creating such an idyllic place."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Kallianos?
The best area to stay in Kallianos is generally along the coastline near the main beach, particularly around the central square and the harbour.

This area is the heart of Kallianos, offering easy access to the main sandy beach and the village's amenities. You'll find a selection of tavernas serving fresh local seafood, small shops, and cafes clustered around the central square, which often hosts local events. The harbour, just a short stroll away, is where fishing boats dock and offers a pleasant spot for an evening walk. The layout is quite compact, making it very walkable.

Couples looking for a relaxing beach holiday will find this area ideal. You're steps away from sunbathing and swimming, and in the evenings, there are plenty of choices for a romantic dinner with sea views. The convenience of having everything within walking distance means you can truly unwind and enjoy the Greek island way of life.

For families, staying near the main beach is also highly recommended. The gentle slope of the beach and calm waters are suitable for children, and having playgrounds and ice cream parlours nearby adds to the convenience.
When is the best time to go to Kallianos?
The best time to go to Kallianos is during the late spring (May to early June) or early autumn (September to October).

These periods offer pleasant weather conditions, with warm but not excessively hot temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the region. You'll find fewer crowds compared to the peak summer months, allowing for a more serene experience at beaches and local attractions.

For those keen on outdoor activities like hiking or cycling, May and October are particularly good. The landscapes are lush, and the temperatures are comfortable enough for extended periods of activity without the intense summer heat.

If your primary focus is enjoying the beaches and swimming, the shoulder months of June and September are excellent.
