Newly reduced rates Welcome to the Maui Kai Resort. This private DIRECT OCEANFRONT ground floor condo, is perfect for a romantic couple s getaway or a family vacation! You can snorkel, swim, and relax all right here! Maui Kai is adjacent to Honoapiilani Beach Park where you can access the Kaanapali Beach boardwalk! NO PARKING OR RESORT FEES AT MAUI KAI! Centrally located between Ka'anapali and Kapalua you will find shopping, dining, several beaches for your favorite water activities and world class golfing! You will find that your within walking distance to several take-out eateries and restaurant's, a grocery store, Farmers Market (local produce & organic foods) and a local Fish Market (Fresh Fish & Great food). Tucked away off of the main road, you will find this hidden gem! Maui Kai is a smaller complex and from your private lanai, you will have front row seats for viewing the Hawaiian sea turtles, whale watching (Mid December - Mid April), spectacular sunsets, and the sweeping views of neighboring islands of Lanai and Molokai. This 647 sq. ft. fully furnished one bedroom condo has been upgraded with ceramic tile flooring throughout, a remodeled kitchen and bathroom, along with a screened in lanai for year-round indoor-outdoor living. Sleeping arrangements include a CAL-KING size bed in the bedroom (Bedroom set & Mattress replaced May 19, 2023) and a sofa sleeper (Replaced in July 2023) in the living room. Other features include CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING, 2 flat screen tv s, basic cable, and Wifi. Resort amenities include: Onsite coin-operated washer and dryer facilities, a pool, spa, barbeque grills and club house. Every time we went in we feared it would cave in on us! This time we ran into frustrating issues with the AC leaking through the bathroom fan. We reported it right away to the emergency contacts when we noticed the water all over the floor. It took a couple of days to hear back from property management. Unfortunately the issue wasn’t resolved, we went without AC for 3-4 days. The dripping never stopped and would get us wet whenever we had to use the toilet. Then the ceiling tiles became heavily saturated and crashed down while we were sleeping. We did our best to clean up the mess it made and proceeded to check out. This makes us hesitant to stay in this particular unit again. ##### Julie G. You cannot beat this location. Falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the waves crashing right outside our patio was magical. The mattresses on both beds are super comfy. The King bed was literally the most comfy bed I have ever slept in. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and basic ingredients like salt, pepper, etc. There are a lot of mirrors but they kind of pulled the outside scenery in! I was told that the tiles in the bathroom ceiling are supposed to be fixed soon. The beach is literally steps away. There were a couple of sea turtles that just hung out in the area, we could see them from our patio and were lucky enough to accidentally swim with one. Bring your snorkel! Within walking distance was the boardwalk where vendors would set up each day, a food truck heaven which was amazing when we just wanted a quick bite, Ohana bakery where you must try the cinnamon rolls (but mentally prepare yourself for a long line), the Maui Fish Market where the seafood is so fresh it doesn't even smell fishy. The property was great! The pool was well maintained, they have a great grilling area (perfect for cooking up your treasures you got from the fish market), plenty of parking. This particular unit is conveniently located close to the parking lot so there is easy access with a ramp just outside. But don't worry, the crashing waves drowned out any potential parking lot sounds. Communication with property management check in procedures were great. A while after checking in our key card quit working. Maintenance was there to fix it promptly. We needed a toilet plunger during our visit. That was delivered as well. A family of 3 was provided 1 bath towel each for 7 days. I requested more towels fair would have been a towel each every other day, which would have been 3 each. Property management did have 1 more each dropped off by housekeeping, so a total of 2 each for the 7 day trip. The floors were dirty sandy upon arrival. The pull out is not the most comfortable. Lots of great things in the closet to be used while visiting. Snorkeling gear, portable cooler, ice packs in the freezer, boogie boards, sunscreen, pool towels, to name a few. It is so perfect overlooking the ocean and a short walk to the Kaanapali walkway. Beautiful sandy beach steps away and a delightful pool. Only 2 things are the pictures are a bit misleading -- fish eye lenses were used with filters to diminish flaws. The condo is outdated and much smaller than displayed and mirrors were used to make it look bigger. Also, beach to the left was full of sharp lava rocks making it unswimmable, so we had to travel to get to a beach we could swim in. Otherwise, the view was great and everything was very clean. I've been trying to think of a funny but honest assessment about our stay. We enjoyed the location of the property, the beach access was okay, no beach in front if this place, but only a short walk or drive away. Let's talk about the condo: what is going in with the mirrors!? The entire place has walls covered in floor to ceiling mirrors!! That's right, No matter how hard you try, anit no way to avoid seeing parts of your body that should never be seen! Aside from that, it was well stocked and a great base ##### jenni m.
