About this property
Poco Cielo · Sauna, Cold Plunge, Hot Tub, Arcade
Summary:
Step out of the barrel sauna, straight into the cold plunge, and catch your breath in a fenced backyard in Joshua Tree's Panorama Heights. Cool off in the seasonal cowboy tub (closed November through March), stretch out on the stargazing bed, then swing in a hanging chair under the pergola while a movie plays on the outdoor projector. Pool table and arcade game in the garage, distant views of the national park's mountains, two king bedrooms. Then press play.
The Space:
Poco Cielo is a two-bedroom modern home in Panorama Heights with warm wood, rattan and earthy textures, and distant views of the mountains of Joshua Tree National Park. Inside, white sofas, a cognac leather chair, woven pendants and slatted wood walls keep things calm and bright, and large sliding glass doors open the living room fully to a fenced backyard with a sauna, cold plunge, cowboy tub, hot tub, stargazing bed, two fire pits and a projector lounge. A garage game room adds a pool table and arcade game. With two king bedrooms and a sofa bed, it suits couples and small groups. Queue a film on the projector and pull the hanging chairs close.

-Outdoor Amenities-
The fenced backyard is built for a full circuit. Warm up in the barrel sauna, then step straight into the cold plunge against the cedar fence. On warm afternoons, the 8-foot cowboy tub sits on its own wood deck with a pair of chairs and the mountains beyond (it is not an in-ground pool and is closed November through March). The above-ground hot tub is there too, and the stargazing bed waits right outside the sliding door.
As the sun drops, settle into the cushioned fire pit lounge just off the living room, or walk out to the second fire pit, where Adirondack chairs face the sunset. Grill on the propane BBQ or the Blackstone griddle and eat in the backyard, or carry dinner down the small trail beside the home to a second dining spot, lighting the path with the lanterns provided. Later, swing in a hanging chair under the pergola as the outdoor projector lights up for movie night. Cornhole is on hand.
Just a quick note to let you know that the hot tub is currently out of service and unavailable for guest use. As a result, it is not currently listed as an available amenity for this property. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and are always happy to help if there’s anything else you need to make your stay comfortable!
-Living Area-
With the glass doors folded open, the living room runs straight out to the patio. Sink into one of the two white couches (one folds out into a bed), or curl up in the cognac leather reading chair by the window with a book. Drop a record on the turntable, put on something from the smart TV or the Bluetooth speaker, and pull out a board game.
-Game Room-
The separate garage game room carries the home's modern desert style into something more playful. Rack up a game of pool beneath the smart TV, chase a high score on the arcade cabinet or drop the last checker in giant Connect 4, then settle onto the leather couch or around the high-top table for drinks and late-night conversation. On a nice evening, roll up the garage door and let the night air in.
-Kitchen and Dining-
Black cabinetry with gold hardware, stone countertops and woven pendants frame a large island with leather barstools, and the windows look out to the desert. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, cookware, serving pieces, an air fryer, spices and olive oil. Grind Joshua Tree Coffee Co. whole beans for the French press or brew a Keurig and froth the milk, with sugars and a variety of tea on hand, then take breakfast to the dining table and benches by the window.
-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-
Poco Cielo has two king bedrooms with large windows, natural wood and rattan accents. The first drapes a sheer canopy over the bed, sets a leather bench at its foot and opens through glass doors to the patio, so you can step outside with your coffee first thing. The second faces the desert, with a desk for an hour of work. Both bathrooms have walk-in showers, one with a rain head, and black vanities with brass pulls under round mirrors. One living room couch folds out into an additional bed.
-Surrounding Area-
Downtown Joshua Tree is right nearby for cafes, vintage shops, galleries and live music. The Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum and the Transmission sculpture by Daniel Popper are an easy drive, and so is the park's West Entrance, for a morning hike before the backyard calls you home.
