"Like a time-warp from the 1960's, steep, narrow stairs with no lift, no porterage, never anybody on reception, generally poor lighting, many lounge bulbs out, no USB ports and seemingly well under-staffed. Having said that, it did what it said on the tin. The location was perfect for us visiting family in the area, the breakfast adequate, the rooms were serviced daily and it would have ben considered top-of-the-range about 1963. You get what you pay for."

"My wife and I spent five nights at the Westhill Country Hotel on a bed and breakfast break and was thoroughly impressed. The hotel is clearly well cared for, with a warm, welcoming team who were always present without ever feeling intrusive. Every amenity—from the dining areas to the leisure spaces—was spotless and well maintained. It made for a relaxing, enjoyable stay that felt both personal and professional."

"The hotel is just perfect. The location is just amazing, our balcony had an amazing view over the beach and bay opposite. The outdoor pool is fab, and there's an indoor pool too. The spa is the best I've experienced. Amazing food, and even more amazing staff, for whom nothing is too much trouble. It was particularly hot during our stay, so air-con in the room would have been beneficial. I can't wait to return."

"Such a great hotel, our group age range was from 3 to 70’s and suited all of us. Great location (we don’t mind a walk and the distance was fine for the kids into town) Only thing I would say the hotel needs is air con (we happened to be there on the warmest few days on record) and a fridge in the room to keep drinks cool. Apart from that I would return to the hotel."

"We think that this is a really nice hotel. The food in the bar was excellent. It’s in a good location for exploring St Helier and beyond. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We had great room with lots of windows which was great but we stayed during a very hot spell of weather. The fan in the room was totally inadequate, we did ask for and were given another fan. From talking to another guest we became aware that there is a sister hotel with shared facilities. It would have been good to be told this on arrival. The rooms on the front of the hotel open on to the road which was busy morning and evening times. I would stay here again"

"A wonderful 5-day holiday. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The quality of the food in the restaurant was excellent. And the swimming pool helped in the 38C temperatures! St Aubin is a great location; away from St Helier, but just 20 minutes away by bus. The railway walk (3 miles) to Corbiere is just on the doorstep. A note for those with mobility issues: the hillside location gives great views, but entails a short up hill walk to the hotel; also, being an older building, there is no air con in the bedrooms (although fans are provided) - we survived in the heat wave, however."
