Long Weekend Getaway to the Adirondacks
We had a wonderful weekend getaway to this lovely property. The house was great and we were impressed with the attention to detail in the decor - so fitting for the area. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our grandsons loved playing outside in the spacious yard plus they had fun at the nearby conservation area. We would highly recommend this home and the area.

Warm up in front of the fire
We had a great stay at this property. We came to the mountains for 5 days to hike trails with our pups and we loved coming back and having a fire to warm up in front of. The cabin has everything you need to be comfortable and feel like you are at home.

Great cabin
We loved staying here. We come to the area every MLK weekend and this is a great cabin to stay at. It was perfect for our 2 families and we loved that we could bring our dog. It has everything we needed and was very clean and cozy.

Great wilderness get-away

Great retreat in the Adirondacks

Family vacation
We stayed here as a Christmas gift and traveled with grandparents, aunts, nieces and spouses. What a wonderful trip! Location was wonderful, we were able to go sightseeing and still have the “cabin in the woods feel” without being to far out. The decks, the dining room table were all used to an abundance for card games and chatting!

What a great place!

Christmas Magic
We loved our Christmas stay at Cathy Snow’s charming Adirondack chalet. Everything was so comforting and peaceful. Thank you for reminding me of my past Christmas with a stay in Ausable Acres. The spacious house has everything you need. We didn’t want to leave and want to come back! Happy New Year!!

Great little get away
A few of my girlfriends and I had a little getaway. This house was a nice place to gather, close enough to lake placid to see the sights and get some great drinks and food. We had a nice stay.

Fantastic Home Away
My husband and I spent several days in this home with our son and his 3 children ranging in age from 3 to 11 and two other grandsons ages 18 and 20. The accommodations provided by Cathy, our host, met all of our needs. The location allowed us to hike and raft through Ausable Chasm as well as Great Gorge Falls and motor boat on Lake Placid and visit Fort Ticonderoga. We would certainly recommend this property and come back ourselves.

Loved the Chalet
Loved the property inside and out. The kitchen was well equipped for all your needs. Our fur child loved the big yard. Cathy was amazing in answering all of our questions and always responded quickly. Hope to come back and stay again on our next trip.

Fabulous time!
We had a fabulous time! The house was very clean with every amenity that we needed. We loved the upstairs bathroom, the towels, candles, fire pit and all the places we found around the house to hang out. Our dog especially loved exploring the large yard that surrounds the house. Cathy was very easy to get a hold of and a wonderful host. Thank you for a fabulous week.

Wonderful cabin in woods
Great place, roomy, clean, lots of nice touches. We had a total of 6 adults (three couples) plus two dogs. This place was great for privacy for the couples plus good common areas for meals, games, tv, etc. The owner was very responsive to questions. Highly recommend this place.

Adirondack getaway
We were very pleased with our stay at this property. Cathy, the host, was kind, responsive, and accommodating both prior to check-in and while we were there. The house was rustic and charming, with ample space for the three of us to spread out. The home would have easily been comfortable for a family of 4-6; we only used 2 of the 4 bedrooms. We loved that the location was a bit off the beaten path (providing solitude), while still in relative proximity to Wilmington (for the Whiteface Uphill Bike Race), Lake Placid, and Lake Champlain.

Great spot
Great spot to get together with friend or family. A very comfortable house with everything you need to feel right at home. Kitchen and bathrooms have everything that you need The outdoor space looks lovely though it was a bit too chilly for us to use it.

Absolutely amazing!
The house was perfect for our trip to the mountains! Cathy thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and cozy. Everything was very clean, house was setup with an easy-to-follow flow, lots of firewood on hand, and was overall a great place to stay! We brought a large group of people to the ADK with ROCovery Fitness, an organization that brings people together through adventure and sober living. The house fit our needs perfectly for the group and had an amazing time!

Beautiful place in a great location. We had such a great time. From checking out the surroundings to hanging by the campfire (stocked full of wood) our stay was fabulous and we couldn't have asked for a better ending to our summer!

We really enjoyed our stay! The outside fireplace was the perfect place to unwind with a beverage after a long hike & we loved hanging out on the deck soaking in the breeze and fresh air. the House was very well appointed with everything we needed and the host was extremely responsive.

All the comforts of home
We had a wonderful stay! Great central location to many activities in the area. We visited Lake Placid, the Jay Covered Bridge (great swim hole), and Ausable Chasm. The adventure tour and repelling at Ausable Chasm was very memorable. The house was perfect to come home to for dinner, rest and relaxation. Comfortable bedrooms, Netflix and internet for the teens, beautifully decorated and Cathy had every amenity covered making it very easy on me! We would love to come book again in the future! A nice getaway
The property was very nice and well located. Most things were 10-15 minutes away tops. The owner had board games for all ages of kids for when they were tired from hiking. There were plenty of beds and enough room for a family to stay comfortably.

Welcoming Hug
Driving up to this property with the glowing light outside was like a welcoming hug. The house was everything we had hoped for. Cathy was so easy and nice to deal with. I would recommend this home to anyone.

Adirondack High Peaks Happiness
This was our first time venturing to the Adirondack Region and we were surrounded by wonderful mountain vistas! We stayed for ten days at the chalet and the accommodations were as described in the Vrbo directory. Cathy provided immediate responses to my questions. Minor concerns were brought to her attention in my departure text, so no need to mention here. We enjoyed our stay and would return. We would highly recommend the Adirondack Chalet in Jay!
