"Excellent hotel. Owners know how to run such a business."

"Nice place and good hospitality "

"This hotel has so much potential unfortunately it wasn’t to the normal standard that a three star German hotel is. The restaurant was open from 6 pm till 8 pm for dinner if you arrive at 7:45 pm it’s too late and that is ridiculous as for breakfasts The cheeses and hams and eggs weren’t replenished so choice was greatly limited. The decor when you get into the hotel is like stepping back into the 1980s or early 90s where you imagine men wearing jackets with the sleeves rolled up it was quite an...

"Saubere Zimmer. Sehr freundliche Personal"

"It is a good place to stay"

"Lovely hotel. Nice breakfast. Excellent surroundings. "

"The Hotel is nice and the rooms are clean. The only problem is the breakfast in the morning. Tables will not be cleaned when guests are finished and difficult to find someone from the staff when you have a question or to need something. The breakfast basic. The food in the restaurant was ok. "

"Good food and excellent service "

"Nice Hotel, important really clean. Strange was that they where not willing to provide me an invoice, with suggest to reservstion and payed by Expedia."

"No English but otherwise a great stay"

"Best host "

"This property offers some more hotel-room style rooms, but I stayed in a nicely furnished and somewhat spacious appartment-type accomodation in the old town of Detmold. "

"very good hotel for a place somewhat out of the way"

"Fantastic place with very nice people. The service was great, food enjoyable and the room was perfect. Nice view, nice location, and just a good stay. "

"We were first offered an upstairs apartment but I explained my condition and was immediately offered a beautiful ground floor flat with all amenities We didn’t use them except the kettle and the shower was great The sitting area and bedroom was a lot better than expected All in all fully recommended for short or long stay. The town with its tree lined foot ways was a peaceful dream Parking was private and secure.. Thank you for our stay"

"A great stay. Thank you"

"Et sted hvor du kommer ned i gear. Dejlig atmosfære, pænt og rent værelse. Manglede kun vandkoger. Meget rar og venlig ejer."

"A traditional German hotel in a rural setting. The room was clean and spacious with the bounse of a balcony. The restaurant was not open on our first night (Thursday). We did have a good meal the following evening. Continental breakfast was good. There is also ample free parking. This hotel is one we would return too."

"Terrible, dirty and old. "
