Great location, hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful. It was easy to get to the attractions from the hotel and the area had a lot of shops and restaurants. Nice and quiet at night. We arrived very late and the gentleman at the front desk was so kind. He called a restaurant to see if they were still open and could accommodate us. Provided us with umbrellas because it was raining. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting Istanbul.

I came for a quick overnight stay and would have gladly stayed longer. The room was clean and quiet. The amenities including filtered water, tea and standard were quite helpful. And the breakfast was wonderful. But the best part is the kind attentive staff. It’s a smaller hotel and you can feel the attention and care from everyone here. Would highly recommend!

Very nice hotel and I was in a large room. Staff helpful and the cleaning crew were very good. The bed and linen were comfortable. The hotel is one long block from the tram line and is surrounded by restaurants. Very quiet other than the calls to prayer., While breakfast was not MY style the other guest enjoyed it. I stayed a week and if I did not already have reservations at another hotel I would have stayed at the Blue Gilroy my entire three week stay in Istanbul. .

I was very happy staying here for the two weeks I was in the Sultanahmet area. The location is close to all the important historic sights you‘d want to see. The hotel is also just a few steps from public transportation, great Turkish restaurants, bank ATM’s, and shopping. Muhammed as well as the other manager, the kitchen and housekeeping teams were all outgoing, friendly, and professional. The rooms are clean, the mattresses and pillows were very comfortable, and the bathrooms had great water pressure with plenty of hot water. The WiFi was strong and easy to connect to. The breakfast offered plenty of traditional Turkish options like simit, olives, cheeses, sausage, cucumbers, tomatoes, honey, a cereal assortment, yogurt, fresh fruit, and eggs. Thank you for making my stay so comfortable.

Supremely elegant room, with high ceilings, chandalier and window details. Exceedingly comfortable with an excellent bathroom. A pleasure to stay here. Supremely walkable, and exceedingly close to a 300 year old Hamman. Phenomenal staff. And finally a complementary breakfast.

I stayed here for four nights on a solo trip to İstanbul. The rooms were clean and fairly big. They did not have the newest tech, nor was I expecting it to, and the power will shut off when you're away from the room, so you might return to a much warmer room - the air conditioning also takes a while to cool the room. I was checked in my Mehmet and he told me about things that I could during my time in the city - thank you for that! He was also able to give me recommendation for dinner my first night there. The food was good albeit a bit pricey due to the area. Since then I found many other places with similar or better quality food that was significantly cheaper and also in the same area. I took the Havaist bus from the airport and walked to the hotel. It's a short walk but fairly steep uphill especially if you have baggage. The rooms were quiet for the most part. The two times it got loud was during the prayer calls and when the staff was working on the other rooms - the walls seemed like they were paper thin early in the mornings when the staff would be cleaning. Another issue I ran into was that I booked a room with a balcony but my room didn't have a balcony. I asked about it right after I checked in but was told that it was unavailable at the time even though I paid extra for it - so either don't expect to get a room with a balcony or demand a discount of some sort, which is something I should've done.
