« Check in was disappointing. The staff person seemed confused. Asked me what room I was checking into. My reply was -I have no idea. She kept looking and relooking into a couple of drawers, then spent a lot of time looking at the computer telling me she was trying to find a room for me. Found one and then she said no, you don’t want that one. Kept looking and finally had a room. « We stayed three nights. It’s 7 or so minutes drive to the downtown and then another 15ish into the NP. Comfy, secure, friendly, clean. »

« A nice hotel, especially for the value. The breakfast has both waffles, eggs, and biscuits and gravy and yogurt, The set up is a bit weird. Beds, toilet, and sink were weirdly short, and I'm quite short myself and dont notice these things normally. The light switches by the door turned on and off the wifi and no light… But it has a mini fridge and coffee and was clean and well taken care of. »

« The Cantilever Hotel is also the Cantilever Distillery. The staff was wonderfully helpful and very personable. Since I didn't want to drive into International Falls for dinner on any of my three nights, I sat at the bar and ate. The food was wonderful; being a distillery, there was no wine or beer, just craft cocktails. And when I say "just" that is not in any way a putdown. Creative and delicious! I would highly recommend the Cantilever Hotel. »

« It appears when booking through Expedia that the host has more than one property available. The property we were directed to stay in was not the one we booked, but the one we booked was a few more dollars, had a nicer shower and slightly different seating setup. The unit was nice, very clean, convenient, but I would have booked the cheaper-priced unit if I’d known that’s the one I’d be staying in. »
