« When is a resort not a resort? In this case, when it doesn't provide any facilities outside the room. There's a rooftop bar in summer but nothing at other times. Staff were pleasant but breakfast was limited and when we asked for a second cup of coffee we had to pay for it. The room is large but was taken up by 4 double futons and a massive hanging screen for projecting TV/video. We felt it was intended for a large group who wanted to watch DVDs all day. The cost would have been fine split 8...

« The Ryokan has an excellent location at the seaside with many good restaurants near by. Japanese breakfast was delicious and there was a beautiful inner garden . It is conveniently located right by the bike path connecting to the Shimanami Kaido and a short walk from the Ferry / Cycle boat to Onomichi. The hosts were very friendly and went above and beyond to help me with luggage shipping . The hotel facilitates luggage transportation between hotels and the Ryokan is affiliated with Sagawa...
