« Located almost half way on the Shimanami Kiado steps from the sea in a quite little town. The room was minimal. The hotel doesn’t offer amenities and only two coffee bags and no milk. Checkin wasn’t till 4pm and after a long day cycling in summer an earlier check in would have been appreciated. What we payed for a small amount of time in the room was high. We also had a shared bathroom and toilet. The restaurant was underneath the rooms and you could hear people talking. »

« This was our (family of four age 9 and 11 kids) first Ryokan experience. It was incredible. We loved the authentic Japanese feel. It was an adventure getting there on a boat and we rented bikes next door for a beautiful all day ride. It’s a great spot to ride from in the middle of the Kaido. If you want a traditional, relaxing stay—book this! We hope to return. (We did 2 rooms with 2 people each because the bedrooms are smallish.) »
