  • This multi-level, 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom remodeled house exudes a mountain ambiance and offers stunning views, updated furnishings, and impressive amenities. It is conveniently located within walking distance of the Village, making it the perfect spot for a family getaway. Recently remodeled, this home is ideal for larger groups seeking a mountain escape. Guests will enjoy incredible views of Lily Rock from the deck and windows inside the house. The cozy living room features a wood-burning fireplace, perfect for sipping hot cocoa or enjoying a movie on the flat-screen TV. The deck offers stunning views and has updated outdoor furniture, a swinging egg chair, outdoor tables, comfy chairs, a gas BBQ, and a new hot tub! This property offers WiFi access, multiple TVs with Apple TV connectivity, and an overhead Bluetooth speaker in the bar, among other amenities. Don’t miss out on this incredible property, which is perfect for creating great memories with family and friends!

    PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING:
    Streaming services are available, but guests must log in using their accounts.
    This vacation rental is equipped with air-conditioning.

    -Cancellations: Bookings canceled at least 60 days before the start of the stay will receive a full refund, with a $150.00 cancellation charge. Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund plus a $150.00 cancellation charge.
    No Cancellations are Allowed for stays booked for November, December, and January.

    - Pets: We do allow dogs; however, please note that there is a fee of $35 per dog per night. Bringing more than one dog requires prior approval and may incur additional fees. Other pets may be considered with prior approval, and a flat per-stay pet fee may apply instead of the nightly fee, depending on the property and length of stay. For reservations made through third-party sites such as Airbnb, once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a separate payment request for any approved pet fees, which must be paid separately.

    - Rental agreement: Please review our rental agreement for our house rules. You will receive an emailed version to sign, but if you prefer other options, please inquire.

    -Spa: During colder weather, the soft tub temperature may range between 85°F–100°F and may not consistently exceed 100°F due to outdoor temperatures. This is normal in mountain conditions and does not indicate a malfunction. Please keep the cover securely closed when not in use to help maintain heat.

    - Check-in instructions: We now offer self-check-in. On your arrival day, the reserving guest will receive a text with check-in instructions between 3:30 and 4:00 PM. Please stop by our office to retrieve your key from the lockbox.

    Parking: Free parking is available for 3 vehicles (Seasonal Restrictions Apply; chains are recommended in winter, and 4X4 is HIGHLY Recommended).

    - County permit number: 001694

    - Age restrictions: Due to the new County of Ordinance 927.2, we no longer accept reservations for anyone under 21. Those under 25 will provide an additional insurance for $70.00 non-refundable on the day of arrival.

    Seasonal wood delivery: There is a $28 fee per bundle (approximately 20 pieces) if available. Please provide at least 5 days' notice for a Friday arrival date or at least 3 days' notice for any other day of the week. Please note that there are no refunds for this service.

    - Confirmation: Upon booking this property through Airbnb, New Spirit Vacation Homes will send you a direct email confirming your reservation. Attached to this confirmation will be a contract you need to review, sign, and send back within 24 hours.

    - Incidentals: We reserve the right to request payment for any incidentals. This includes but is not limited to firewood, pet fees, special occasion requests, personal grocery drop-offs, pay-per-view movies or sporting events, and damaged property.

    -Home Guarded with Noise Aware: NoiseAware never identifies specific guest sounds or records guests. Ever. FCC-certified privacy-safe NoiseAware measures decibel levels over time, giving you privacy-safe noise monitoring that prioritizes guest experience.

Cabin was nice and spacious, and walking distance to town. Even tho its very close to town, you still enjoy some beautiful views from the upper deck. Would've loved to have a gas fire pit out in the deck or down in the gardenarea.

Our family of 6 adults and 1 2-moth old child and 3 dogs stayed here this last weekend. Had a wonderful time. The house was great and close to town. Fantastic views from the deck.

Immaculate and spacious place a short walk from town

We very much enjoyed our stay with two families and 8 total adults/children (+2 dogs). The place was spotless and had plenty of room for all of us. The fenced in yard was large and a real plus for letting the animals run around. We had some minor issues with breakers and hot tub but the property managers were extremely responsive and came out promptly to fix things. An overall great weekend.

Absolutely Perfect

I have been coming up to Idyllwild for over thirty years and my wife and I have enjoyed many beautiful properties together…but this amazing house is definitely now one of our favorites. The views are epic, the indoor space is super comfortable and spacious, providing plenty of room for our toddler to run around, without disturbing the adults! It has everything you need and more. We look forward to coming back! It’s an awesome location!!

Perfect family gathering location.

This house was beautifully located with stunning views of Taquitz. The porches were the best place for coffee in the morning and grilling burgers in the afternoon. However, the evening visits just soothes the soul in the twinkling lights, under the pines and oaks of the side yard. The house has a well stocked kitchen, beds are comfortable and the sheets are soft. The layout of the house is well planned as the rooms are private and quiet from the rest of the house. We all left our weekend getaway feeling refreshed.

Four ladies celebrating being born in 1975 (Don't make me say it. Do the math. Ahem)Overall, a nice stay but there were some (mostly) manageable hiccups along the way: We were not informed that you enter the property through the side door. Spent 10 minutes in the snow trying to get inside before we called management. He was there in a jif to solve the problem.-Some of the kitchen appliances need to be replaced. Stovetop kept turning off when we tried to boil water. Countertop coffee maker's timer was broken. Microwave above the range is completely dead (no not indicating). The replacement, countertop microwave is teensy and works at about 1/2 power, so your two minute oatmeal will take roughly 5 to heat up. -wiring in the living room was a bit sketchyWhat WASN'T manageable for me were the smells in the house. Towels were laundered with floral-scented detergent and there were incredibly potent air fresheners hidden around the house. If you've got a sensitive sniffer or suffer from migraines (like me!) this could be a tricky stay for you. We sleuthed out the air fresheners and put them outside, then removed the scented detergent pod from the washer and ran my towels through the hot, sanitizing cycle without any soap. That pretty much took care of it.Beyond those things, we enjoyed ourselves. Walk to town isn't a straight-shot but it's a beautiful walk through the neighborhood. The driveway is very steep so plan accordingly. Staff was friendly & attentive!

Great Views, Undisclosed steep incline, Why pay a cleaning fee?

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Family and friends had a great time at the rental cabin. The views were great, the primary photo is spot on and the cabin was relatively clean. HOWEVER, there are number of issues that I had:1) The steep incline of the driveway. Don't know what the actual grade is, but had we not decided to park at the bottom of the driveway there's no way (even with AWD/4x4) our cars would have been able to safely go up and down the driveway in the snow. This is a detail that should be CLEARLY STATED IN THE DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY. The only reason I looked into it was b/c a reviewer happened to mentioned it was difficult to walk up the driveway. I looked at the streetview on Google maps and thought it would be manageable but no I was mistaken. Having to park at the bottom of the hill, we needed to carry everything up and down. Yes it builds character but "FEATURES" LIKE THIS HILL NEED TO BE PROPERLY DISCLOSED. I mentioned my concern to a rep and she state: "Well you should have done your due diligence." WTH..REALY2) Poorly maintained: Many areas of the cabin are poorly maintained. There is a bedroom on the ground floor that is clearly NOT insulated. The heater is not enough to keep the cold out, b/c the door leading outside isn't insulated. THIS SHOULD BE CLEARLY DISCLOSED or remedied. Tiles in the bathroom are separating from the walls, the bathtub is either leaking or was recently fixed b/c the wood flooring shows recent water damage (How do I know? B/c the other family that went with us works as a property manager for multiunits.) Toilet paper dispenser falling off the walls, broken microwave, cracked refrigerator shelving and slides...What is the point of collecting fees for cleaning and maintenance when it's not being done properly? 3) 3rd party rental agreement: I realize this may be a CYA b/c of the number people who seem to have forgotten simple rules we learn in kindergarten but there is another 7 page rental agreement that you MUST sign or can't get the

Reviewer Comments: Stayed here to celebrate my bday last weekend and it was a wonderful time in the home, which provided all the amenities needed for a cozy weekend in with friends and family. The kitchen is stocked well with cookware and supplies. The outdoor space is very large with plenty of seating around the property, although we didn't get to enjoy much of it as it rained all three days we were there. It definitely can get warm in the upstairs bedrooms when the thermostat is turned up past 64 degrees, and the bottom bedrooms didn't seem to warm up nearly as much. Also no closet or dresser in the master bedroom or bedroom with king bed, which was weird and inconvenient. All in all, it was a lovely cabin and the staff at New Spirit were kind, responsive and helpful anytime we had inquiries. I recommend this rental.

What we needed

Four bedrooms, 3 baths- perfect for our family of 7. The 17 year old had his own escape on the lower floor. There was no access to get out for the little ones on the middle level. The adults took the top level. Be aware, heat rises. There was a floor fan to help in one room and the ceiling fan helped a little. Steep driveway, but has room to turn around, so no one has to back down. Is a short distance to town, but just the driveway alone and blind turn no shoulder road makes it not easily walkable. The town itself is adorable and welcoming to tourists. Good restaurants, shops, theater, street entertainment.

Hot tub not working, property manager unresponsive

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you're looking for a place to stay with a hot tub like we were, steer clear of this property. We were really looking forward to using it the entire time we were there (we purposely searched for a property with a hot tub; people do this as it's a sought-after amenity, so for them to have said when we checked out that it's just a "perk" of staying there isn't really accurate), so we immediately started heating it when we got there. It took nearly 48 hours before it finally hit its peak temperature, and when we used it, we were only able to sit in it for 15 minutes before it started beeping, throwing an error message. We called every day we were there, and two staffers did show up reassuring us it would work, but it never did. On the last full day we were there, we left a message and no one came by. We wrote an e-mail to the property management company to ask for some kind of recourse after we checked out, followed up by e-mail and phone and haven't heard back. It's been nearly three weeks. Disappointing to say the least.
