"Place is as in pics. Our unit was close to road Loud & dusty. Beach was a bust. Did not want to sit on a dock!. Had the reviews mentioned the road work & the silt & that the water was not that great we would have not booked. The reef is not that close. When we got a car we spent or time elsewhere.No fault of Sundancer but reviews should have mentioned the amount of road work! The unit had everything and the pool was so nice to have after spending the day at other locations. We made the best &...

"This was a primo spot for us but might not be for everyone. To me, the only reason to go to Roatan is if you are a hard core diver or snorkeler. We loved this location because we could swim 250yards out to the reef every day and it was awesome. Crossing an active boat channel means being heads up, not for novices."

"This was my first experience in Roatan and I’m afraid it has spoiled me! The property is well maintained and beautiful. There are several resorts, one after another, and this one is just as pretty as some of the more expensive ones on the end of the island. Also, \*\*You must have cash on hand for tipping just about everyone\*\* I did not know this and it became a problem when I ran out of cash on day 2… Anyway, the buffet options are wonderful. There is a theme for dinner each night so it’s not the same foods over and over. Not having to worry about my meals was a huge relief. Apparently the buffet is $30 if purchased separately per meal. The rooms were cleaned daily. The resort website recommended tipping the cleaning staff $3-4 daily, but I only stumbled upon that by accident. Plan accordingly. The beach area is beautiful and well set up. You will be able to exchange your towel daily and have an umbrella set up for you, but you should tip this gentleman as well since he maintains his area. I think there are 2 of them that split this duty. Mayan has a lot of beach space in front of it, unlike Infinity and Kimpton and a few others in that direction which are basically falling into the ocean—meaning the tide comes right up to the resort, so there isn’t a lot of space for chairs AND people traffic. Staff is really nice and very attentive. I felt safe. There are shops within walking distance. You can snorkel on the reef just by walking down the beach a ways. Top notch!"

"We had the BEST experience at Caribe Tesoro! The staff made us feel totally at home and welcomed us like family. The location couldn't be beat - set on the north end of West Bay Beach, but away from the crowds when we wanted a quiet outdoor space. We especially loved Jack greeting us each time we drove in/out of the premises - such a kind soul and always giving us great tips where to go. Myra was like a personal friend and spent time chatting with us about her, and our, scuba endeavors - love that she dives too! Everyone at the restaurant had a smile and kind greeting each day - especially Sherrice, Scott & Sherlyn. Eating over the water was beautiful & serene. The front office ladies made sure our unit was stocked with fresh water, kitchen items and that all our devices had wifi access. Our room was spacious, clean and the price was super affordable. The landscape, maintenance and cleaning crews were always quietly taking care of the premises and making sure everything was in great condition without being intrusive. We can't wait to see everyone at Caribe Tesoro again soon!"
