  • Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Conviently located 5 miles east of Homer overlooking Katchemak Bay. 1 bedroom with a king size bed on the 1st floor. Upstairs in the loft, is a 2nd bedroom with 2 twin size beds with acess to an upstairs deck. Bathroom and laundry room on 1st floor. Has 2 covered outdoor decks, an outdoor dining room and a nice BBQ area with seating. 2 night minimum. No pets allowed. Additional cleaning fee of $140, per stay.

Duane was a friendly and attentive host. He showed us all the ins and outs of Magical Place, so we would feel at home. The view was awesome! There were tons of birds like cranes and pheasants around the property, and an eagle visited the neighbor’s tree once. We saw moose hoof prints but didn’t see the moose on the property. The washer and dryer were convenient. The dining room has a 180 degree view, and the upstairs deck had panoramic views, as well. This cabin was very affordable, and we would definitely stay here again.

Magical Place is truly magical! The home has everything you need. It’s very clean and comfortable. The view is beyond amazing! Of all the places we visited in Homer, nothing compares to the view from this home. During our stay, we saw a bald eagle, a peasant with her babies, and a moose with her two babies, right there on the property! Fantastic! Duane was so welcoming and treated us like family. It is truly a fabulous place to stay! Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality, Duane. We left having made a new friend and hope to see you again!
