Having been there 33 years, he knows a lot about the area. The view from any room is phenomenal as you are high up and can see across the bay to view glaciers and mountains. We loved our time at the Good Karma Inn. Michael, the owner, was very thoughtful and kind. We felt very welcome in his lovely inn. We enjoyed talking with him and he made us delicious breakfasts, dinner reservations and offered advice about how to enjoy Homer. The scenery and setting of the Good Karma Inn are extraordinary, and it was a pleasure to come back in the evening and enjoy the view of the mountains and the glaciers from the deck. The property is in a beautiful natural location overlooking the bay and surrounding mountains from a slight elevation. Spectacular views were enjoyed from the room and attached deck. The resident flock of sandhill cranes are wonderful to watch. The owner/host was extremely helpful in getting reservations at the last minute for a restaurant and water taxi.
