Discover this unique lighthouse vacation rental w/private pool on Anna Maria Island. The Lighthouse has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths with an open plan living/kitchen/dining which is perfect for a family vacation or getaway with friends. Located in Holmes Beach, the home is only a short walk (approx. 6 min) to the beautiful Gulf beach. The house has been lovingly decorated with retro memorabilia creating a vintage americana aesthetic. Enjoy our budget-friendly pricing.

There is parking for one compact car in the garage and two cars in the driveway. You can also rent a golf cart from Hodo Golf Carts, Beach Bums or Zoom Around to explore the island at a leisurely pace. Alternatively, rent one of our 6 bicycles subject to availability. There is also a free island trolley service which runs daily around the island (approximately every 20 min) with a trolley stop located just outside the property.

This was our 5th trip to AMI, we just love it here. This house was 1000% as described and Valerie was AMAZING with her communication. The only thing I would make a bit more clear is that Palm Blvd during our week was very busy with traffic. While not a huge deal, it was rather noisy from the vehicle traffic. Aside from that, the house was really perfect and was equipped with everything we could possibly need. Oh, the pool and the pool deck area, fantastic!!!! -The Gordon Family

The Lighthouse

Pros: 1) short walk to the beach-7 minutes, 2) very nice availability of beach toys, bikes, beach chairs, 3) nice and clean small pool in the front of the house (about 7’ x 13’), 4) updated kitchen and flooring on the first floor 5) patriotic theme (USA and British Flags, John F Kennedy memorabilia on first floor) Cons: 1) Worn and dirty carpeting on the winding stairs going to second floor bedrooms (stain noticed on landing outside bedroom), 2) sofas in living room a bit worn (especially the red one), and dated accessories-furniture (tables, etc). 3) the house sits/faces the main road and unless you google where the house is located, you would never know that from the descriptive picture!(we unfortunately did not do that). For the price, the house is not up to par compared to other similarly priced rentals. Valerie the owner was responsive and attentive however.

Quaint and unique home within walking distance from everything. Loved it!

If you want a unique home stay, this is it. Touches of 60’s, American decor has a small but very nice pool, all of the amenities, beach items including towels, chairs etc to make your travel light. Everything is within walking distance but the free Trolley runs consistently. We didn’t even need to take it because we walked all of the time. We loved the beaches, Slim’s for dinner along with The Wicked Cantina. Traffic does get backed up coming on and off the island so plan accordingly. GREAT time!

The house was perfect for our Spring Break getaway. What made it even better was the great decor of the home and the beach essentials (towels, chairs, floats, etc.). The location was perfect, an easy walk to the beach and a short drive to anything you need. We had a wonderful relaxing time.

Unique property with everything you could wish for!

Valerie is the consummate “landlady” - met us on arrival and looked in to wave us off as we headed to the airport. The Lighthouse is a tremendous place to stay with all sorts of interesting features, some of which we only spotted the day we left! Really well equipped, with everything you could think of available. Fantastic - we would not hesitate to book again!

Six of us (three generations) stayed here during a hot February week and found The Lighthouse to be ideal and quite stunning - so much so that my two young ones were ready to explore every nook and cranny of the building after 17 hours of travel! We met Valerie twice, she was helpful, enthusiastic and keen to ensure that our holiday went to plan - it did. Great location - huge, unspoiled beach 5 mins walk; bars / shops 10 mins walk; supermarket 3 mins drive; Tampa International 75 mins drive (on a clear run) and so much to do in the area you simply cannot do everything. If we ever head back to Anna Maria Island then we will look to rent The Lighthouse again.

Exceptional property

We had a wonderful 11 day stay in August in this unique property. The owners truly want you to have a first class holiday experience. The lighthouse was decorated and cleaned to the highest standard. The pool is at the front of the house and is not large but was big enough for our family if 2 teenagers and 2 adults and the tropical plants screened it off well. The beach toys and supplies were a great addition, The walk to the beautiful beaches is under 10 minutes. Valerie was superb to deal with, very quick to respond. I would definitely recommend this property it is exceptional.

What an amazing place to make memories with our kids!!

This beautiful lighthouse property was perfect in every way. We really, really enjoyed all the decor, not a detail was missed! The home is very clean and this was such a very well kept property, great location. We especially enjoyed being able to walk to the beach. It was such a convenient bonus to have the beach carts, chairs and toys. It was very, very pleasant to work with the owner. We had the pleasure of Staying at the lighthouse with my young family. It was beautiful and perfect for our needs. Each room was decorated to such high standard but still felt home from Home. Cool Lighthouse Vacation Home

We stayed here for a week, and it was great. Pool is warm. House was clean, and well maintained. Only issue is it's on the main drag, so there is traffic going by most of the day, but still a great place!

We loved our stay in this interesting home

We spent Christmas week with our adult daughters at this Holmes Beach property and we had a wonderful time! The house is very comfortable, clean, well-kept and had a well-stocked kitchen for us to cook our meals when we didn't go out. The common areas are spacious with plenty of seating and large coffee tables. The dining table was large as well. Kitchen too was large enough that 4-5 of us could all be cooking and prepping at the same time (something we like to do as a family). The bedrooms too were well-appointed, clean and comfortable, with lots of great decorating details. The location of the bedrooms also gave for a private feel. Valerie also had the whole house decorated for Christmas and it was lovely!!! More decorating than I would have done at my own house. We all marveled at the fun decorations and how the exterior of the house was lit up as well. It is obvious Valerie takes great pride in offering her house to guests. She was accessible for us the whole stay and a pleasure to work with. The small heated pool was used most days and was a nice option when we weren't at the beach (which is a short walk of maybe 5-8 minutes). And for that walk to the beach there are beach carts available in the garage for loading up beach chairs, etc., to make the walk a breeze. The house is situated on the main road running through that part of the island, but that was only an issue at the busiest time of day when the traffic was a little noisy if we were sitting by the pool. We have talked about going back next year and staying at this very cool lighthouse. This home helped to make our family get-together even more special.

Thermostat set so you can't adjust. Also security deposit is being withheld due to an issue with dining room table which we noticed when we arrived. Owner not very responsive to emails after departure when acquiring about security deposit.

The lovely lighthouse, a superb holiday home

We have just got back from a 2 week holiday and we loved every minute of our stay at The Lighthouse. From the moment we arrived we were blown away. The size, space and layout is perfect and no expense spared on furniture and fittings. The lighthouse is really well equipped with everything one needs for a perfect vacation. The beach strollers and chairs were excellent, making our daily walk to the beach, just 7 minutes away, effortless. Valerie was a delight to deal with, very responsive to queries prior to our arrival and on hand during our stay with great suggestions of things to see and do and restaurants to visit. We would highly recommend The Lighthouse and will definitely be back.

A perfect vacation rental

We had a wonderful time at the Lighthouse. It was perfect for our family and our boys loved the fun of staying in a light house. Having our own pool was great when we wanted some relaxing time off the beach and enjoyed beautiful sunset views from the look out at the top. The house had everything we needed including beach gear and kitchen items. Valerie was wonderful to work with; very responsive to anything we needed. We loved our stay at the Lighthouse and hope to return again!
