No frills and quiet (except for the occasional plane flying by). If you are in Hawaii and in Hilo you are probably not staying in your hotel a lot. You will save money on their free coffee which is actually really good and strong. Staff is polite and friendly. There are plenty of places to eat in walking distance. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the rooms were clean. Finally, the hotel is commitment to sustainability and holistic hospitality is evident throughout the property...from refillable water station (in the lobby) and recycling.
