This beautiful house sits on a quite cove on Lake Hickory! Completely remodeled with a new kitchen, three bedrooms on the main, two of which are spacious bedrooms with perfect views of the lake and walk out deck to enjoy your morning coffee. The third bedroom is also located on the main floor. The main floor also features a dining table for six and a relaxing living room with picturesque views of the lake. The fourth bedroom is in the basement and features two pairs of bunk beds for the kids. The basement is also a perfect getaway for a relaxing escape to play board games or watch your favorite movie. Heavenly Harbor also features two large outdoor decks. One with plenty of room to entertain, relax or just enjoy the view, the other which is located closer to the water features a natural wood burning fire pit. Nothing like cozying to the fire and watching the natural beauty of the lake. It is the perfect place to relax and watch the stresses of regular life disappear! Incredible views of the lake from all but one bedroom and all of the comforts of home. Our home is located on a quiet cove with views of the main channel with over 110 feet of water frontage. Our home features a nicely appointed kitchen with all stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Including blender, crock pot, toaster, Keurig, coffee pot, pots/pans, bakeware and dishware. Plus plenty of different types glasses for your favorite beverage and we didn’t forget the corkscrew either! You won't even need to pack any spices, there is a spice rack with all the spices to cook up your favorite meal. We have a brand new propane grill just outside the kitchen with beautiful views of the lake while you cook! Our dining room table seats up to 6 adults, with additional eating area out on the deck both covered and uncovered - all with spectacular lake views! We picked only the best mattresses for all of the beds with clean, soft sheets and big fluffy towels. We want you to feel pampered and spoiled! Our basement rec room is fun for all ages with a game table for cards and board games, comfy couches & TV. The door out of the basement leads to yet another deck with great views of the lake as well. There you will also find all of the necessities for lake fun; floatation devices, life vests, fishing poles, as well a two kayaks for your boating pleasure. Our home also features a 16'x20" floating dock for all of the lake fun you could imagine and because were located in a quiet cove you don't have to worry about boat traffic & waves. At the dock there are several flotation devices to float on. The water is 13’ deep at the dock, so cannon balls are a must! Take a ride on our kayaks and look for the many turtles, or do some fishing off the dock. Our family loves to tie all of our floats together and hang out in the water all day! Enjoy your evenings sitting by the fire in the comfy Adirondack chairs, perfect for the summer evenings and cool winter evenings as well. The lake is beautiful all year long! Feel free to browse our library of books, or trade with your own! We also provide Wifi and internet service as well as a DVD player. Lake Hickory is one the largest freshwater sand bottom lakes in North Carolina. Lake Hickory was created on the Catawba River in 1927 with the completion of the Oxford Dam 11 miles (18 km) northeast of Hickory. The dam parallels the NC Highway 16 bridge over the Catawba River between Interstate 40 and Taylorsville. It is 122 feet (37 m) high, with an overall length of 1,200 feet (370 m). The spillway section of the dam is 550 feet (170 m) long. The lake was named after the City of Hickory and runs along its northern edge. It covers almost 4,223 acres (17.09 km2) with 105 miles (169 km) of shoreline. Full pond elevation is 935 feet above sea level. It is perfect for those who love to swim, ski, tube, boat or enjoy some of the finest fishing in the area. The lake is home to many different species of fish including Striper bass, largemouth and spotted bass, crappie, lake perch, bluegill, sunfish as well as a variety of catfish. Water quality is very good and fed by mountain springs. We are conveniently located about 1 hour from Charlotte, 1 hour from Asheville (home of the Biltmore Estate!), 45 minutes from Blowing Rock and about 3 1/2 hours from the coast. Beautiful mountain views from the lake! As far as sports are concerned, Hickory is home to the Hickory Crawdads, a Class-A South Atlantic League minor-league baseball affiliate of the Texas Rangers. The Crawdads play in L.P. Frans Stadium located in the western portion of the city, near the Hickory Regional Airport. Hickory is also home to the Hickory Motor Speedway, nationally known as the Birthplace of the NASCAR Stars. The speedway was opened in 1951 and features a 1/2 mile track with seating for approximately 5,000 spectators. The Rivers Bend State Park is a great park and there is a public boat launch less than 2 miles from the house. We hope you will come visit Lake Hickory and see all that this area has to offer! We were visiting family in the Lenoir & Hickory area. Travis & Leesa are wonderful hosts/owners. The kitchen was well stocked with a great assortment of utensils, plates, cups, etc. The solar lights on the decks make it enjoyable to be outside or inside overlooking the lake. The kids loved swimming & fishing off the dock. All around great place. It was close enough to everything to have pizza delivered & Walmart deliveries, so we didn’t have to go shopping. We loved that it was on the water and it was easy access into the water that it came with a dock so, it was easy to dock our 2 jet skiis and the boat launch was 7 minutes away from the house. It felt very peaceful and relaxing on the dock. We never left the dock all day on our first day there. We were grateful that the weather was beautiful and sunny all weekend (mid 70s) and the nights were in the low 60s throughout our stay here. It was nice to escape out of Ohio for a couple of days. The kitchen in the house was beautiful and we LOVED the counter space. It was easy to cook our meals and how you can fit 7 people (that’s how many there were of us that stayed) in the kitchen. We never felt crowded in this house. The living room was very cozy and the bedrooms were very roomy. We also enjoyed being outside on the balcony everyday that you can go out of from the 2 bedrooms and the view from the lake was breathtaking to wake up to every morning. As we entered this house and smelled the lake air from outside on the back deck we already felt at peace and relaxed as we are a family from the suburbs outside the city in Ohio of hustle and bustle and always hearing sirens all day long. When we were outside, all we heard was boats and jet skiis all day long and we said to each other that this is PERFECT. ##### Alia C. We enjoyed spending the week of Christmas at Heavenly Harbor and we didn’t regret our choice! Everything was as listed but even better in person. They communicated with us about the property and gave recommendations for the area. The property was clean and spacious and had everything we needed to enjoy time on the lake. Located in a quiet cove, we fished and floated to our heart's content. We rented a boat from a Lakeside Marina twice and enjoyed time out on the lake. We ventured into town for dinner and had dinner lakeside one night. We have already planned our return trip and can't wait to visit Lake Hickory again. ##### Debbie L. Our family has vacationed at the ocean for the last 20 years, but now that we are dispersed across VA, NC and TN, we decided to try something more central to us all. Somehow we fell upon Travis and Lesa's beautiful lake house. After the week, we are now a Lake Family! The house had everything we needed. Obviously, we packed way too much and brought a lot of our "beach stuff". We didn't need any of it. The kitchen was big and allow all of us all to be in there making our lunches. The family room seated 6 (plus 2 dogs) and the huge lake view window just made it feel huge. The TV allowed us to login to all of our streaming apps which made our millennials happy. Each bedroom was perfectly appointed and even though we didn't really use it, the basement bunk room is perfect for kids. But the real gem is the deck/dock the leads to the most relaxing place I've been in many years. The huge oak that shades most of the deck area makes this place just too perfect. The floating dock allowed us easy access the deep water where we just sat in our floating chairs for hours enjoying family and making memories. Although we still love the beach, we are already planning to come back next year. It was just too perfect. Don't miss out on this gem... just don't take our week. ##### Laurie S. Nice house, just wish the listing would have mentioned the all of the stairs. A member of our family has a mobility problem so the need to go down a flight of stairs to get into the house was a surprise. Based on the pictures it looked like the driveway went to the front door. We saw it was a common situation in the area, I don't think it was being hidden, but I think that listing in general should state if there are accessible issues. ##### Charles B.
