Ideally located midway between Watkins Glen and Geneva—and just minutes from wineries like Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards, Wagner Vineyards, and Standing Stone—this cozy cottage provides the perfect blend of comfort, charm, and convenience.  
  
Start your day on the screened-in porch, where the sound of gentle waves and the view of Seneca Lake create a serene backdrop for your morning coffee. It's the kind of spot you'll return to again and again—whether you're sharing a glass of wine at sunset, escaping the afternoon sun, or simply soaking up the peaceful atmosphere.  
  
Inside, a bright and inviting living area offers cozy seating and picture windows that frame the water beyond. The compact kitchen is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need to cook, and the open layout makes it easy to enjoy conversation while preparing meals. A dining nook by the window invites you to linger over dinner and take in the lake views.  
  
Upstairs, two comfortable bedrooms each feature a queen bed and soft linens, offering the perfect place to rest after a day of exploring.  
  
Just across the quiet country road, you'll find shared access to the lake—ideal for a swim, a morning paddle, or simply relaxing by the shore. The home's level setting makes it easy to enjoy the outdoors, and with pet-friendly accommodations for two small dogs, your furry friends can join in on the fun too.  
  
From On the Rocks, you're just a short drive from Watkins Glen State Park, local breweries, and some of the best vineyards in the Finger Lakes. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, enjoying a romantic getaway, or simply looking to unwind, this charming lakeside retreat offers everything you need for a relaxing and memorable stay on Seneca Lake.  
  
Occupancy: This property is closely monitored for responsible renting. The maximum occupancy of each home is the number of guests allowed on the premises at any given time. This includes both day and overnight guests as well as all children including infants.  
  
Note:  
1\. You will receive an email upon confirmation with a link to our Guest License Agreement which is a copy of our Rental Rules that must be signed and returned within 7 days of receiving.  
2\. Smoking is not allowed in any rental property. This includes vaping and e-cigarettes.  
3\. Homes are not handicap accessible, unless stated in the description.  
4\. Air conditioning is not available unless listed as an amenity. If available, air conditioning is considered a seasonal amenity and is only available May 15 - October 15.  
5\. Homes are not guaranteed allergen-free, even those that do not allow pets.  
6\. Docking is not guaranteed if water levels are low and/or high due to seasonal weather and climate changes.  
7\. Outdoor amenities, including furniture, watercraft, and firepit are not available between October 15 - May 15.  
8\. 2 dogs under 30 lbs each allowed maximum and $100 plus tax non-refundable pet fee applies per dog.

Loved the panaoramic views, quiet location, and central position to many of the things we like to do in and around Seneca and Cayuga Lakes, Geneva and Watkins Glen. We appreciated the ability to bring both our dogs to join us on vacation. The owners were extremely accommodating and responsive to questions/needs during the course of our stay. Would definitely recommend!

Property was clean and as described. Pretty waterfall was a short walk away. Beds were very firm so if you like a softer mattress, bring a mattress pad with you.

We were very happy with our stay on "on the rocks". It is in a great location with a beautiful water view of Seneca Lake. The house is totally redone, cute and comfortable. The kitchen was great and well equipped. The bed could us a topper (a little hard) but we slept well. Wine country is all around, Watkins Glen is nearby...we went to the races. I would highly recommend this vacation property.

#### Small but comfy

The small house was very clean, modestly furnished, but updated. Big enough for two couples or a small family. We had access to the lake right in front and swam every day. Next time I would bring water shoes since it's all rocks. The caretaker of the property was super friendly and helpful. Small wishlist: a few regular sized drinking glasses, and a small table on the porch for drinks or a snack while sitting outside

Deadly algea in lakes, authorities told us not to use lake. Company would not give refund but offered to relist property then raised price almost $100 practically assuring that it would not resell. A perfect little cottage in the perfect spot to watch the sunset on Seneca Lake. Good proximity to shopping and eating in Watkins Glen and great wineries. We will be back.

#### Great house, location not ideal for us

The house was very nice and met our needs. Everything was very clean, and the property company even provided a little goody bag upon arrival with some extras and little gift bags for our dogs. The property manager is readily available because he lives very close-by. The house is right on the lake, and the road along the lake is very flat, making it very nice for morning and evening walks. On the downside, the photos didn't really convey that the house is directly in front of a series of camping RVs, so the house wasn't nearly as private as we anticipated. We were traveling with our dogs, and every time someone walked by the front of the house, they were barking. We may not have booked had we known this were the set up. Of all the VRBOs I have stayed at, this one was least equipped with cleaning supplies. I like to do a thorough clean before leaving, as one of my dogs sheds a lot. I needed to purchase a broom so that I could sweep the floor. It's also important to note there was not a dishwasher. This wasn't a big deal for my family, but I know it matters to some.

#### Perfect and cute!

For the 4 of us, this was a perfect little house. Everything was spotless and new inside, and kitchen was very well equipped. We loved the view of the lake and sunsets each night. Would definitely recommend for two or four people ! The welcome package was a nice touch , very good coffee!

#### Seneca Lake Getaway

This was a great getaway spot for a small family of 3 or 4 people. The lake views were excellent and the neighborhood was super chill. We came during NASCAR weekend at Watkins Glen and enjoyed the race as well. We would definitely one back to this property again!

#### Nice lakefront property

This was a great place for our family of 4. Very clean and nicely updated inside. Right across the street from the water with clear view of the lake. Rocky beach that was dog friendly :). Close to neighbors but everyone was very nice and never had any issues with noise!
