"The pool is disgusting. The charge for early checkin is ridiculous. We should be able to ask for early checkin for no fee. Especially for $190 for one room. The staff up front was very helpful, the breakfast was very good. PLEASE CLEAN that pool. That was the dirtiest pool I've ever seen."

"This was a nice place to stay for one night in June. It was more affordable than staying at a hotel in Midway (10 min drive away), but more than expected. This is a family-owned roadside motel with plenty of charm. There are 10-15 ground floor rooms accessed from the outside by a traditional metal key and parking in front of each room. The owner lives next door so the lobby is usually locked. You just need to pick up a phone and the owner will walk over to check you in. She was talkative and friendly and asked about my family, why we were there, what our plans were and when we were going to come and go. I didn't mind, but some might prefer a bit more privacy. The room was large, clean and well maintained. It had a king bed with a memory foam mattress and a queen bed with a coil spring mattress. The bathroom was large with a single sink and tub shower combo that was clean but worn with a very small showerhead. The A/C was a window unit built into the wall. It worked well and was quiet. Both the fridge and A/C were left off to save energy so the room needed a little time to cool down. The amenities were nice, but unusable. The outdoor pool was heated to 82 deg, but it was covered in ash from a recent wildfire, too dirty to swim. There was also an indoor hot tub, but it was emptied. The owners also own a popular burger and ice cream restaurant next door, so they offer a 10% discount to guests. Overall, Its nice and I would recommend it as long as expectations are kept in check."

"The property itself was clean, comfortable, and in a great location for exploring Heber City, Midway, and Park City. The home met our expectations, and the owner went out of her way to make us feel welcome. When I mentioned that we travel with a blender because our disabled daughter is tube-fed and we use it multiple times a day to prepare her meals, she even offered to purchase one for the house. That kindness was genuinely appreciated.Our only significant concern was with the listing itself. It did not disclose that the property manager lives upstairs in the home, and we weren't informed of this until the day we arrived, after our plans were already set. Had we known beforehand, we likely would have chosen a different property.Because we were staying directly below someone, we spent much of our stay trying to keep our normal family activities as quiet as possible. Our daughter occasionally vocalizes loudly, and using the blender several times a day made us feel self-conscious about disturbing the people upstairs. While no one ever complained, it added stress that we weren't expecting on vacation.To be clear, this review is not a criticism of the owner or the property manager. The owner was thoughtful, accommodating, and genuinely cared about our experience. Our concern is simply that the living arrangement should be clearly disclosed in the listing before booking so guests can make an informed decision."
