Relax in our updated island style condo in the iconic Pat's at Punaluu beachfront residence. This tastefully decorated unit has been fully outfitted with most everything you could possibly need, including all new linens, towels and kitchenware. There is full kitchen with a range oven, refrigerator and microwave oven. There is also a washer/dryer in the unit for your convenience. Be sure to wake up early in the morning to watch the sunrise from your oceanfront lanai. Listen to the gentle surf while sipping your wine as you wind down from your perfect day. The condo is located on the 5nd floor, there is ample parking in the lot reserved for our guests. This complex is complete with a sparkling swimming pool and a small weight room. If you prefer to swim in the ocean, there is a beautiful white sand beach just beyond the pool. Please note that the building has been undergoing some remodeling and upgrades. There may be periodic, but usually brief inconveniences out of the control of the host. One side of bed is against the wall and one person has to climb over the other to get out. Location is great and access to beach is great. Bathroom could use upgrade. Place was clean ##### Michael N. The A/C was not working well, missing windowpane in the bathroom and torn screen made keeping the place cool nearly impossible. Impossible to keep flying insects out of the unit with missing window glass and missing screens. There was dirt and dust on the torn bathroom screen at least 1/16 inch thick in which you could write your name. Lamp in living room with broken switch making it unusable. Mattress on the bed is TERRIBLE, worn out and does not provide any support. I did not get a single night's decent sleep in the entire week we were there. The A/C vent tube was loose and leaking air, the window slats to which it is attached did not close properly. Drip pans on the stove top burners were rusted and dirty with old dirty tin foil covering them. The tub/shower did not drain leaving dirty standing water in the tub for after showering. All metal surfaces in the bathroom including tub & sink faucets are rusting. Overall, the conditions of this unit was completely unacceptable. ##### James H. Property needs to be cleaned and have furniture and TV replaced. Furniture is old and lumpy. Overall property needs some TLC. You need to compare the check-in instructions you receive when you book to the instructions you receive prior to arrival as they differ. While the building is older, it’s well maintained and offers a peaceful, laid-back atmosphere that feels like classic Hawaii.The highlight is definitely the beach—calm, uncrowded, and perfect for kids. The waves break far out, leaving the shoreline waters tranquil for swimming or just relaxing in the sun. It’s also a great home base, with many of Oʻahu’s scenic spots and cultural attractions just a short drive away.The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a generous living area, full kitchen, and plenty of room to stretch out. There was an ample supply of towels, sheets, and even beach towels provided. The beach chairs were a great and appreciated surprise. One downside is that the bedroom faces the highway, and you can hear cars passing by throughout the night. This obviously isn't in the owners control, but something to consider. We ended up sleeping on the pullout couch facing the ocean, which actually made for a great night’s rest with the sound of the waves, and a peaceful morning waking up to a beautiful sunrise and coffee on the lanai.Security is very good, and the property feels safe and welcoming. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly, beachfront stay that gives you a taste of local life away from the big resorts, this is a great value. The bed was way too soft, the sofa bed was better. Be aware that the bedroom has no door, it is more of a nook. The floor in the appartment was not clean. Maybe because of the construction workers. They painted the balcony ceiling during our stay. One day when we came back the front door was open (we have locked it when we went out). We assume that the workers came in through the balcony door which we did have closed but not locked. After that we made sure we locked both doors. Overall we had a good stay and loved the North shore ##### patrizia s. Der Lärm ging leider morgens um 8:30 Uhr los. Daher war der Ausblick getrübt von Gerüst und Baumaterial. Sehr gut fanden wir die Reaktion des Vermieters der uns entsprechend auch einen Nachlass freiwillig gewährte.Im Inserat wird erwähnt, es handelt sich um einen neu renovierte Wohnung, dies entspricht nicht meiner Auffassung da, wenn überhaupt der Boden erneuert wurde. Das Bett war so weich und durch gehängt, dass wir auf dem auszieht Sofa schlafen mussten. Für mich leider nicht weiter zu empfehlen. Ohne die gute Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin hätte ich nur einen Punkt vergeben. ##### Josef B. The property overall was dirty and appeared to be in decay. Upon arrival, it was challenging to find the lockbox. Upon entering the property, we could see that it had not been cleaned. It looked as if someone had been eating something in the messy bed. We weren't sure if the specs of debris we were seeing were crumbs or bed-bugs... There were sheets in the washing machine that had not been washed. There was scaffolding outside, blocking the ocean view, as well as loud construction going on. When I contacted the property manager, they said the cleaning people had stepped out, but would be right back. This was almost 5pm. We were tired from our flight and driving to the property. It did not look as nice as the photos. NOT BY A LONG SHOT. I stated that this was unacceptable. TOTAL RIP off. Avoid at all costs... We were there to attend a wedding, and had to find last minute lodging, that was much more expensive. But... we weren't about to stay at this deplorable property. Paid over $1500.00 for 4 nights, and was only able to get a $175\. refund. Live and learn... ##### randy b. The condo was fantastic, we slept with all the windows open, It was just awesome! The only downside was that there was no coffee or tea, and we couldn't find any nearby. (I wasn't looking for a Starbucks, just any coffee). Luckily, we stumbled upon the "Bald Guy" food truck and their amazing cold brew blew us away! ##### Danette E.
