They have recently reopened the Otaki Gorge Road providing access to Tararua Park which is at the bottom of the Tararua Ranges. This is a lovely are to visit with some amazing walks and swimming available. The nearest airport is Kapiti Coast Airport, 17 miles from the accommodation. One: quality time together and Two: a tryout for the young dogs in a boarding kennel not far away. The last night the dogs stayed with us. The bach was awesome. Very well laid out and complete. If anything, we couldn’t find any ice cube trays so our G&T was a bit make do. For the rest just great. Hear the moreporks at night, swim in the river at Pots Reserve. Best kept secret: Kuku Beach.
