We purchased our 3 day parking pass and walked around the town. The whole town and shops are dog friendly. We arrived to the house, easy and just minutes from downtown. Beautiful views. House is perfect. Central air was appreciated as it got nice and humid out. Instructions for everything was on the table. We checked that out. We like to eat at home instead of restaurants every meal. Everything we needed was there, we just supplied the food. We booked a ghost tour for the first night. Lots of walking in Harper's Ferry and lots of steps. Great exercise. There is a barn and field full of history right across from the house. We hiked Maryland Heights, and part of the AT, walked the town again. Visited the National Park Visitor Center. We used the hot tub to soak our aches from the hike, cooked another dinner in, played games at the table and watched a movie in the living room. The next day we checked out some local distilleries, wineries and breweries. We were smart and booked a tour so we didn't have to drive. They got us safely to each location. We cooked our last dinner and sat around the fire pit. This home was a home away from home. There was privacy. The bathrooms are modern, and large.We would book this exact home again and bring all 3 kids, they would love the bunk beds. Great location, clean, updated and amenities. Only downside , some of the furniture, like the couch need replaced, and there were no baking sheets to bake on, other then that is was fully stocked! ##### Sheila K. Perfect location, just a few miles from Harper’s Ferry town, and many local wineries. Worked out perfectly for our sister’s weekend! All concerns were immediately taken care of by River Riders to make our stay worry free! Some yard & exterior of house needs a little more attention, but inside was very clean. We were very pleased with this rental and would recommend to anyone visiting the area. ##### Barbara C. It was just my husband & I & our small dog but more people will easily fit with the nice size rooms, 2 big bathrooms, & several beds. Also good space outside with the porch & large yard. Property is clean. Furniture and bed was old in master, and some furniture not in useable condition. Location was easily accessible to battlefields and local shopping/restaurants. The location is great. The main couch needs to be replaced or fixed. It sinks when sitting on it and is hard to get out of. The dishwasher leaked and doesn’t quite drain during the cycle. You have to drain it again to get the water out. Simple fixes really. Otherwise very pleasant. ##### Jodi F. We loved that we were close to most major attractions. Checking in and out was easy. The only negative was that the hot tub was broken. They sent maintenance out as soon as we called. Unfortunately, we couldn’t use it for our stay but they gave us vouchers to river riders for the inconvenience. We would recommend this house and stay again.
