Let’s start with my trip was booked well in advanced. The day before arriving to Tryst, my family and I had a full day of flights just to get here. Note, we booked 3 rooms. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were informed that their receptionist had been trying to contact us all day to confirm our reservation. After explaining to the receptionist there and I’m guessing their manager over the phone that we had a full day of flights and it was impossible to get us on the phone and our reservation was booked well in advance. We were told that this was our problem and they no longer had our rooms available and our reservation was canceled because we could not be reached via phone. Also note that we arrived at 10pm and had to look for accommodation elsewhere. The reception is very nice and staff is polite. What dragged the rating down for me was that there weren’t any windows in the room and the door handle was broken so it wasn’t possible to close the door to the toilet. It was also a bit further outside the centre than we thought, so we booked a hotel closer to the centre.
