The hotel itself is old, the water pumping system is not good, only little water came out when we shower. It’s very difficult to plug in the electricity plug that I have to try every plugs in our room to see which works. We lived close to the park, and the sound of people playing music when excercising woke us up every morning at around 6\. Front desk staff were not overly friendly. Checkout is at 12:00, whereas Expedia lists 12:30\. This should be corrected as we had to check out at 09:00 instead of 12:30 after our walk. Restaurant was OK. Some confusion about menu poster. It gave the impression that we would get a free drink with the meal, however this was only with the combo. This was not mentioned. I had booked on hotels.com so everything was pre-paid. They took copies of our passports and no credit card was required for incidentals. This is a great location in the Old Quarter. Be aware, it’s on a busy street so you’ll hear honking all through the day and a bit at night. Bed was very comfy and I love all the extra pillows. Bathroom was decent although it did run out of hot water fast so take quick showers. The floors are wooden instead of carpet and they provide rubber slippers but I didn’t want to use them. WiFi speed - pretty fast and there is a safe to keep your valuables. They offer complimentary water and coffee above the refrigerator, amenities such as shampoo, shower gel and lotion. This hotel isn’t super fancy but for the price, it was a great deal. Walls are pretty thin so you can hear the neighbors. Large breakfast buffet - had a variety of foods from traditional American to Vietnamese such as egg rolls, pho and noodles! My only complaint is that after coming back from Halong Bay tour, we were hungry and walked into the restaurant at 9:30\. The restaurant closes at 10pm.
