Die Lage direkt um die Ecke des Hoan Kiem Sees ist optimal. The front receptionist was rude and refused to give back my passport. He eventually scanned it and returned it after I insisted. He made sure to roll his eyes at me several times as if I was demanding something outrageous. There are no locks on the door and I didn't feel safe as I am a solo traveler. There are no windows, wallpaper peeling, bed uncomfortable, water dripping in the corner. I'd imagine a prison is more comfortable. Looks nothing like the pictures online. I checked out an hour later in the middle of the night, didn't even want to sit on the bed better yet sleep on it. The hotel is quite new just 2-3 years old. Small, clean and modern at superb location in the heart of Old Quarter, just opposite the Tirant Hotel, 5 minutes walk to Hoan Kiem Lake, Water Puppet Theatre and night market. The room is huge, clean, furnished with wooden furnitures, many cupboard storage space and big comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and helpful.
