You'll be surrounded by the sights of trees and sounds of ocean and birds. The property is 2 acres of lush Hana rainforest in a perfect location. Quiet, serene, tranquil and private, yet close to the best sights Hana has to offer. The space Hana Organic Farm is a fruit farm conveniently located within a mile of Hana Bay, Waikaloa Beach, Fagan's Cross, Hotel Hana Restaurant, Spa and Bar and Hana Cultural Center and Museum. Also within a mile are many delicious food trucks along with Hana Ranch Restaurant and Bar, Hasegawa Store and Hana Ranch Store. We are 5-10 minute drive to Waianapana State Park (Black Sand Beach), Hamoa Beach, Hana Lava Tube, Kahanu Gardens/Pi'ilani Hale, and many other amazing Hana landmarks. Oheo Gulch (Seven Sacred Pools), Wailua Falls, and the Pipiwai trails and waterfalls (Bamboo Forest) are all within 11 miles of Hana Organic Farm and Retreat. Other things to note WIFI The wifi in the property is through satellite internet. Currently it is the only available internet provider in this specific location. Wifi speed may slow or IT MAY NOT work in inclement weather. LOCATION It’s in jungle like settings so BUGS, ANTS, MOSQUITOS or Flying insects and critters are to be expected. We don’t want you to get eaten alive by mosquitoes so we highly recommend you to always close the doors and make sure to bring bugs spray. GECKOS/LIZARDS are also expected they like to eat the bugs and sometimes you might hear them at night. So if you're not ready to experience them, then this place is not for you. HANA HIGHWAY The hana highway is a very tricky road to drive, if you’re an inexperienced driver you might find it intimidating. Make sure you do more research about it before visiting Hana. Always pull over to the locals, drive with caution and don’t over speed. STORES Hana Ranch Store & Hasegawa Store - they are a mile from our place, both store have plenty options of groceries and beverages. FARMER’S MARKET DAY If you like to try local vegetable, fruits, bread, juices etc you are welcome to check out the Farmer’s Market every Friday from 3pm to 5pm. There was no picnic table and benches as shown in photo #2.2\. The "Location Type" is not "Beach." The Kaihalulu Beach shown on the listing map is a good 30 minute walk on a narrow jungle road with no sidewalks or even paths.3\. The distances to the features listed under "What's Nearby" are significantly understated. For example, the distance to Ke'anae Arboretum is 17 MILES, a 51-minute drive, not a 12-minute walk.4\. Contrary to the statement in the "Hiighlights" section of the listing, it is not "Easy to get around." There is nowhere to walk to safely or easily, except for a food truck that is closed on weekends.5\. The "utensils" offered included only 2 knives, 2 forks, 1 spoon, and a wine bottle opener. No can opener, no bottle opener.6\. Expected amenities that were NOT present included (a) any hooks or bars on which to hang clothes, (b) any stand or other device on which to place a suitcase, or (c) a TV.7\. The "view" from the entrance "deck" consists of a mud parking lot and a shipping container.8\. We were not warned that being outside would expose us to smoke from burning garbage. ##### Robert M. Everything was very clean and the property was peaceful. The bathroom was stunning and lots of natural light poured in through the windows. The breeze was perfect. I rated 4 instead of 5 because we were in the bottom apartment that butted upto the roof for the washer and dryer. The roof is tin. It poured every night. It was very loud. We had to close the window above the bed for the noise and also because it rained in due to the angle. The listing doesn't say there is an A/C unit, I had just assumed there would be, that's my fault. But really one wasn't needed, unless to dampen that noise. The only other small thing is there weren't any dressers or a closet to unpack your clothes. I think this is set up more as stop over for travelers on the road to Hana. Which is perfect, but more than one night, I would suggest you rent the upstairs apartment. More room and away from the tin roof. It is a beautiful place though. ##### Buffie V. We split our road to Hana and Haleakala-Kipahulu District trip up over two days, making this the perfect place to rest for the night. We loved the secluded nature of the house and listening to the rain through the open windows at night. The bathroom was very clean and updated and we loved sitting on the back porch in the evening. ##### Kelli S. Good size, clean room with very comfortable bed. Nice, newwr clean shower with soap, shampoo/conditioner; sunscreen and aloe was also available. Coffee, tea, water and granola bars/biscuit bars. The Google and Waze app are about 100 feet off from the entrance. After that, it was about three blocks back to the place. We parked and got in with no problem. Cozy bed, and great showers and bathroom. And other amenities. We were exhausted after our long journey on the road to Hannah and this was just perfect for a budget to be able to stay in Hāna. The bonus was hearing a nice short hard rain and then all the wonderful birds in the surrounding forest start singing. Very cool experience too wrap up. Day, one on the road to Hāna I would definitely stay here again. As you also are very close to the national park entrance for the black sand beach. ##### james s. It was nice having no TV - my partner and I played games all night and it was convenient not having to drive back the same night.
